Unless things have changed recently Rangers don't have a youth scout covering Aberdeen.

It's really poor if we can't find people to cover the main areas of this country , Shouldn't cost a fortune to cover the petrol costs of a dozen or so guys who can keep us up to date on prospects in youth football .

When George Adams was there we recruited a lot of youth players from the Aberdeen area, may even have had a link with Dyce Boys Club. We haven't had a scout or signed any player from Aberdeen area for some time. We only began scouting in Dundee in the last year or so.

The demands of pro youth (being at training or games 3/4 times a week) means too much of a commitment for any youngster and their family from that far away. As a consequence Aberdeen no longer recruit from the central belt either.

Sean Rouse and Levi Stephen used tae baby sit for us Along with another 3 youngsters they stayed in May's  converted loft on Canniesburn Rd  Bomber Jackson stayed in the same place back in the 60s
