Agreed, if you look at where the money was spent in the transfer window it’s been thrown at the back 4, keeper and solid midfielders rather than creative ones compare that with how much has been spent on creative outlets or strikers. Kent is young and untested at a decent level. Ejaria is also young and raw. Arfield isn’t an attacking midfielder. Grezda was signed injured. Im not sure SG even wanted Lafferty. Right now we have been set up to be a hard team to beat (which we are) compared to this time last year. Could feel their goal coming from about the 60th minute. To look to McGregor to blame - who is without question the most sensible signing of Gerrard's tenure thus far - is absolutely ridiculous.
