The team has mostly been put together on free transfers and we play in Scotland so every single player has flaws. The staff last year managed to squeeze every last drop out the players for the league while masking those flaws. Gio's job is to find something again like that which works. What I'm hugely encouraged by is the apparent praise of his man management skills. More important than tactics here where we play teams four times a season and nearly every game bar a couple is mundane against 11 men behind the ball. Big Al 55 9,281 Posted November 22, 2021 Share Posted November 22, 2021 I would say Goldson is done, get back to high press, move the ball quicker, play with one holding midfielder, play Aribo deeper, leave Morelos on bench, find a striker who can hold the ball up, freshen squad up with some of the youngsters. They won the league in march, out of europe not long after and out the scottish not long after that, they pretty much had may, june, july to fucking recharge and go again, Its nothing to do with running on empty, its the shitty one way and one way only they have been constantly coached in 3 years, if our system doesn't work in a game we are relying on individual magic to turn things around, our current setup is warburton but with a better group of players The recent sheep game at ibrox, when they started with a 3 at the back we should have changed it to get actual ball runners out wide instead of fullbacks, get attacking the side centre halves as we drive into the box, instead we kept the game narrow played right into sheep hands The Blues 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
