Was reading that Marseille want Dembele, didn't mention a fee.

And Celtic have told Stuart Armstrong he needs to lower his contract demands if he wants a new deal with them

Sorry but wasn't it only a few weeks ago that Chelsea wanted Dembele for £40m and Stuart Armstrong was wanted for £12m but Celtic will do everything possible to keep him? ....

Apparently Ntcham will break their transfer record and is actually £7mil not £4mil. Seven fucking million, kind of expected Rodgers to make these kind of egotistical signings but still, just hope it blows up in his face.

Signings of this magnitude normally do blow up in Rodgers face.

They seem to think CL football is in the bag

It must be remembered how lucky they were last season, to get by Qarabag they needed a last minute penalty and Be'er Sheva absolutely wasted them in Israel but just couldn't get the vital third goal, missed some amount of sitters the cunts

So give them another 2 tricky ties and they might not be so lucky this time round

Why is no-one questioning the fact that the media and pundits think Ntcham is the next Toure? Toure is finished at City so why would they sell their exact replica?

£7 million:rofl: Glad Rodgers is making these kind of signings now. All that's needed is for them not to get into the CL then they'll have really fucked it

I just read that they'll be seeded all the way through and the play-off game they will go down the "Champions route" so the hardest teams they could possibly come up against at the play-off stage are BATE Borisov, APOEL Nicosia and Maribor

BATE ain't a bad side, neither are APOEL. We all know what happened the last time Maribor played them as well:whistle:

Is it only they 3 teams they can get drawn against?

Nah there's a good few, they were just selected as the "potential banana skins" on the article I was reading.

If/when they beat Linfield, in the next round they could get Astana again or Be'er Sheva again, another decent team they can get as well is Rosenborg

So assuming they get past Linfield then they might not have it all their own way in Round 3

Once again I highly doubt they'll win a game in the groups, like last season.

There's a lucky draw or two that could see them win a game at home, but it'll be a struggle to pick much up. Especially considering they're gonna be in pot 4.

Lego lad gonna be fit for game against Linwood

Celtic are close to completing the signing of France Under-21 midfielder Olivier Ntcham from Manchester City for a fee of about £4.5m.

Personal terms have been agreed with the 21-year-old, who has spent the past two seasons on loan at Italian side Genoa in Serie A.

Ntcham arrived in Glasgow on Saturday to have a medical.

The playmaker moved to City's youth ranks in 2012 from the famous Le Havre academy in his homeland.

He has represented France at every youth level from under-16 to under-21.

Ntcham, who scored three goals in 37 Serie A appearances for Genoa, could be available for Celtic's Champions League qualifier against Linfield on Friday night.

If he completes his move, the Frenchman will become Brendan Rodgers' third summer signing following the arrival of Jonny Hayes from Aberdeen and Kundai Benyu from Ipswich Town.

Meanwhile, talks are ongoing with Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong's agent about a new contract.

However, the Scottish champions are relaxed about the situation despite the 25-year-old Scotland player entering the final year of his current deal.

Fellow midfielder Scott Brown is seeing a specialist over an Achilles problem, but the Celtic captain is confident he will be passed fit to face Linfield on Friday.

The Scotland international limped off just half an hour into Saturday's 9-0 friendly rout of Shamrock Rovers after tweaking the tendon.

Despite that, Brown expects to face Northern Irish champions Linfield in Friday's opening Champions League qualifier at Windsor Park after receiving treatment.

I assume Ntcham will play next to Brown instead of their youth player McGregor.  I fully expect them to spend big on a winger too as a replacement for Patrick Roberts.  I doubt they'll do much beyond that (unless they sell someone for big money).

Their transfer strategy now seems to be 1 or 2 quality signings each summer.

That's all they actually need to do when their biggest rivals were demoted down unfairly, and we were pish when we eventually made it back up.
