This EPL Raiding will kill us

Recommended Posts

they have creamed off the best of our team and no doubt they will be back for more whenever a player impresses

TBH SB, Its all a relative process, they do it to us, we do it to other teams in the SPL, the other teams do it to Div 1 teams and so on...

yep we are being pushed further down the food chain now that the EPL is swimming in money and can out bid us at the drop of a hat

have we not just lost Hutton and cousin - if that - you make it sound like half our team just left.

Cousin is no better than what we have in the squad, imo, and not motivated to be a ranger.

ok, i would prefer we didnt jump at the money for hutton - but form can be a very temporary thing, and £9m can buy us alot of quality,.

whittaker is very capable imo.

The opposite is true.

Selling players for £10million will help us stay competitive.

Again thats all relative as well Frankie, other teams dealing with us will now push their valuations up for potential targets, much the same as any team dealing with Hibs will want more than usual due to the knowledge they have received circa £10mill recently through sales.

That's fair to say but we may have deals agreed in principle. It's up to Bain to ensure we're not held over a barrel.

I'm sure there are targets in our radar but then put yourself in their shoes, say the agreement between ourselves and Spurs was agreed in principle then we find out they come into a bit of money (say the sale of Berbatov for 35mill) would you as a business person (or Bain) not try and get some more for the player we were looking to sell. Principles can sometimes be a dirty word in the world of football and business.
