Well at least they gave a clear and unequivocal reason for his resignation:

'David (Tweed) felt he couldn't reconcile his position with the proposed establishment of a special tasks committee to co-ordinate and implement policy with regard to outside bodies.'

That's cleared that up.

So what exactly are these people in charge of?

Only 12 of those people listed remain. Of them, Stephen Smith is now chairman while David Edgar is vice-chair. Both continue in their media roles as well.

No secretary, webmaster, GerSave admin, treasurer or NARSA Liaison replacements have been confirmed as yet.

Neither have any new appointments to the board (if any).

While it doesn't inspire confidence at the moment, imo it's bit early to decide that it's now 'fucked up good and proper'.

Sorry but I find it very hard to beleive that they will recover from this.

yeah but isn't Mark Dingwall pulling all the strings from behind the scenes??

It is getting to the stage now that the 7 of the board members that left due to the goings on could almost have got rid of the problem instead. Looking at that list of remaining, I can think of perhaps 2 or 3 more that could have been persuaded to link up to move the trust onwards, giving a majority.

Very very sad indeed.

And all down to one man.

Are you referring to Mr Dingwall?

I'd say he was.......................I've just been reading a thread about it on FF and guess what?

It gets pulled, no reason given.

OH FFS. The RST are fast becoming a laughing stock among the Rangers support and the only way seems to be down.

This SGM had better clear some things up and give a clear indication of where the organisation is headed. Otherwise they wil have some very unhappy members on their hands.

Are you referring to Mr Dingwall?

Indeed.

The choice was himself or seven.

He chose himself.

Then surely IF an EGM goes ahead that decision should be taken for him?

I highly doubt they all resigned because he refused to. But there is defninitely an internal strife with someone, most probably Dingwall.

Did you know this latest resignation was going to happen then?

Unfortunately, while that suggestion has it's merits, it wasn't possible for various reasons.

With the turmoil at the RST and the way they are now portrayed is it feasible to suggest that some of the other supporters groups are rubbing their hands at the bad publicity that the Trust is inflicting on itself.

Have the RST shot themselves in the foot and are they now only an extention of FF?
