Why has Peter Campbell a different badge?

i really dont know manti but i would have thought he was captain, but i am not sure.

Don't know. He was vice captain the previous year (Peter McNeil was captain).

Edit: Peter McNeil is not in that photograph, and only played one game in 1876-77, so presumably Peter Campbell was made captain that year.

Celtic never wore Hoops until 1903

Hibs had them in 1876

hamilton had them in 1876

Hearts had them in 1876

Greenock had them in 1874

Queens Park had them in 1873

And many more had the before the so called actual Hoops. At least we are the second in Glasgow i think for wearing the Hoops and before the bead rattlers.

Superb.

Isn't Moses the coolest looking man on the planet?

Is it just me or does William Dunlop (far left middle) bear a striking resemblance to Ronnie O'Sullivan :craphead::lol:

Looks more like Gilbert O'Sullivan without the bunnet ! :sherlock:

Almost certain you are right, Minstral. His position in the very centre of the pic would also support that.

Anyone know when Morton and Celtic started wearing them?

What about Hamilton Accies

Them also.

I have been told Morton were the first to wear hoops.

Queen's Park F.C. I think although not 100% the 1st team to wear the hoops in Oct 1873
