Thermopylae 15,286
Given the financial ramifications it's certainly worse than that old chestnut Berwick
Dado 334
I still felt worse after the St Johnstone game, it probably felt worse because I was there, and it was at home. Its certainly down there with the worst.
minstral 5,375
amongst the worst.
mannan 0
given the financial implications and that theres no european football this year and in my lifetime YES
kplfishtank 4,656
i thought the zizkov defeat was worse as they hadnt even played in europe and at that time 2002 we still had a fairly decent team with de boer klos ricksen and a fit determined barry ferguson in that set up
lalsger 0
given the financial implications and that theres no european football this year and in my lifetime YES I would say so, with the loss of 10 million - which we apparently bank for every year - meaning less signings + the beggars getting millions more without kicking a ball, a complete disaster. Deathsdoorstep 0
What's the damned difference financially? We get to a Euro Cup final and they still cry poverty. It's a fucking sham. Who pocketed that money? Oh...wait.

Thermopylae 15,286
I think what makes it even worse is it coming so soon after the high of Manchester. In a sense that made it unpredictable although at the same time perhaps it wasn't unexpected given the football we have been playing and poor signings over the summer
Blue Stars Bearette 1
can't think of a worse one to be honest I think you are right
Leiper 0
I think what makes it even worse is it coming so soon after the high of Manchester. In a sense that made it unpredictable although at the same time perhaps it wasn't quite so unexpected given the football we have been playing and poor signings over the summer I don't mind Walter playing a 4-5-1 as it did work in Europe last season. What annoys me is the fact that we play this negative formation and have absolutely nobody in that formation who can create or give us a little flair. We need players who can change games in a second with some individual skill if we are to continue playing with this system.
bringonthbarca 25
I think its on a par with zizkov but the fact that the last tie we played in europe was the UEFA Cup Final it has brought us crashing back to earth
Thermopylae 15,286
It's not as if Kaunas got a goal and hung on, if you think of the chances they had the uncomfortable truth is that could have been more <_<
Gaffbear 4,096
It's in the top 5 along with Hamilton and Berwick .
papaguy51 912
There's a school of thought that'll say after the Hutton cash, the CL cash and UEFA Final cash, this was the one season where we could 'afford' to not be in Europe. But then Walter spunked £7m of it on 3 strikers.
Thermopylae 15,286
It's in the top 5 along with Hamilton and Berwick . At least Hamilton only got a lucky goal, that can always happen

I look at his emotional outbursts at the end of last season and the irrational signings during the summer and scratch my head

Briton 394
Definitely the worst. At least we had a chance to redeem ourselves against Zizkov and they are from a country with some footballing pedigree.
thedarvelmarvel 796
high on the list but not many will remember 7/1.that was a night mare but in those days players didnt get a game after that, like forrest and mclean after berwick.

But then Walter spunked £7m of it on 3 strikers. I don't think we can ever afford not to be in Europe. Our domestic rivals are getting to the Champions League almost every year, so us failing at this stage is the equivalent of handing them an extra £10 million head start over us. It doesn't matter how healthy our finances are in relative terms, we can't afford to give Celtic that kind of advantage if we want to win the SPL.
