Great to see him so highly ranked, but with that comes interest.

Interesting to see the players aroud him and the young guy a couple of places above with a £23 million minimum fee clause. Why dont' we put clauses like that in place to avoid us losing our players on the cheap?

Unfortunately I dont think the club now see promising youngsters as assets to keep hold of as much as walking price tags. Sad fact is even with a £23m release clause wed be biting anyones hands off at £3m. Just hope we see a change in strategy and concentrate on developing youth its just far more cost-efficient than trying to buy a first team.

Play him, look after him and in a couple of years he could clear our current debt and leave us with money to sign a replacement.

Not a chance in hell SDM would sell him for £3million, it would take money well in excess of Huttons fee for him to even consider selling him.

Look at what Walcott Rooney etc etc cost.

Taking £3.8million for Boyd does not equate to letting your biggest (and getting more valuable all the time) asset go for £3million.
