trueblueal 2,117
Newcastle United have officially released Remi Streete. He could be the next Gough or the next Svensson. After 34 mins action in 5 months we are none the wiser.
Creampuff 22,628
Best of luck to him, wherever he ends up. Seemed up for the fight before his injury.
WATBB 1,524
What a first 34 minutes it was though, he was outstanding! Supposedly doing well for our u20's in the development league.

Smile 26,606
Looked unfit when he played but to be expected couldn't tell if he's good or bad as not seen enough of him.
Clemdog 39,389
It's infuriating he got injured so early on. The boy has some real potential and CB is such an issue for this current side, as much as I knew Vuckic was a good player and likewise Ferguson, I thought this boy had the best chance to make his mark. His contract situation only made it a bonus. On the plus side, it's like we've had him on trial for the last month or so.Have we not played him due to his fitness and wanting to keep him low on the radar before we sign him? Who knows. orange&blue92 1,284
Sign him up on a smaller wage, with an appearance bonus if he plays, could be paying for someone sitting in the treatment room.

ForeverBlue1872 463
I've said in a previous thread. Take him on trial during pre-season and see how he does. There's nothing to lose by doing that.
A Gallant Pioneer 555
We kind of need players who can play, not check into our treatment room. Signing him on the back of 30 mins or so is moronic. None of us know anything about him.

If he can prove his fitness, and is willing to accept a sensible wage I wouldn't mind having him on board, providing he has undertaken a full and thorough medical, and given a clean bill of health. From my limited knowledge of him he seems highly thought of but if his previous injuries are too much of a concern then we should look elsewhere. The Monk 3,207
I'd sign him, low risk good potential.
BlueSuedeSambas 53,782
On paper he's a decent prospect and I think he was pretty highly rated at Newcastle at one point. If he's impressed for the unders and in training then we should make a move for him. He'll probably end up at a Oldham or Coventey type team though. Wearethepeople72 1,845
Haven't really seen enough of him to judge whether he is good or not. However, I don't see any reason why we shouldn't sign him. He is free and will probably be on a fraction of the wages that Jig is on. Can't really go wrong.

That's where a trial during pre-season will come in handy and a 1 year contract., One like Darren McGregor's where if he plays a certain amount of games he gets an added 1 year contract.
