Players come and go they did well last season in parts I will judge them more this season failure to produce and they wont see out their contracts if they do produce and want to leave in a years time we sell for a profit and move on.

I expect, and hope, this is just their agents winding them up to get increased deals.

If not then they can leave, I would trust Mr Warburton to use the profits wisely and probably bring in better players.

But if they choose to go are other clubs gonna be stupid enough to have faith in their long term, even short term commitment ?

Whoever has leaked this needs fuckin sacked it does not do both players any good

Why offer them new deals at this time, unless someone has come in for them?

The club could have waited till during the season. Something strange that they offer upgrades at this stage (that get a KB) before they know how they will perform in top league, very strange & bad business IMO

Halliday and Holt signed new deals during season does that mean they are certain starters?

Never said that, at all - I said if Wag & Tav were offered new deals, it is because MW wanted them, and saw them as being capable in the top league.  He never offered them a new deal because he wanted to try them out.

A decent season in Scottish Championship and they reckon they deserve a wage rise

Let's see how they get on this season, they might not even be starters..

Agreed. The Rossiter and Barton comparison is daft- Baton has been at the top level for a decade and Rossiter was highly rated at Liverpool, starting games in Europe last season. Tav and Wags careers we're saved coming here and I'd be disappointed if they've looked at wages of new signings and asked for more. There good form in the Championship will be quickly forgotten if they can't reproduce in the Premiership this year.

Don't talk utter shite, again.

We've a history of losing players for fuckall. Nothing wrong with making sure we won't lose out if they decide to move on in a season or two.

They probably intend to follow Warburton when he leaves at the end of his contract,  or at least are keeping that option open.  sucks but they aint bigger than the team.

If they refuse to sign new deals, sell them and bring in people that want to be here long term.

2018 gives us a full season then we can sell.  Just wish club could keep a lid on it. Better still do it during season when lots happening, then its just contract talks, instead of this. Whoever is handling contracts & PR need to have a talk with each other, or give themselves a shake.

And we've offered MW an increase or extension, or both.  We are allowed to do that - other clubs do.

Of course he wanted them, they were only signed last season on a 3 yr deal.

Contracted till 2018, why have 2 key players not sign new contracts at start of season?

Its bad press we don't need, could easily have been put back for a month and then its just 'contract talks ongoing'

But no, we now have to worry until end of August & transfer window closes.

Oh and its not utter shite its an opinion, get used to it ok.

I cant see it being a problem as they are contracted till 2018 regardless.

Very good - which makes it strange that you doubt they deserve a wage rise.  MW believes so, and he also believes they'll be fine in the top league,

Exactly what have they done to earn a wage rise?

if they perform in Premiership then they'll deserve wage rise until then they should be concentrating on getting in team.
