    Our problem is that Matondo, Dessers, Wright are crap and Roofe is injury prone. The problem with our injured players is that we have nobody decent to replace them.

    Injured players is a different matter from the rest of them being "shattered". Dessers isn't shattered he's just crap.

    Why is the team "shattered"? Our players should be fit enough to play 2 games a week. We have injured players which is a different matter. The only thing which worries me is that heads have dropped after exiting Europe on Thursday however I hope that Clement will prevent that being an issue.

    Souttar is unreliable at best and simply not good enough. His howler on Saturday put us on the back foot from the start. He nearly caused a similar goal from a near replica mistake at Killie.

    Our finishing (or lack thereof,) is my worry. Dessers is murder and I'm not impressed by Silva at all. The only other available option is Roofe.

    Think he arrived 13 months ago (end of transfer window). I was pointing out that he got good/ great reviews when he first arrived then got injured and he hasn't been the same since. It's up to PC whether he perseveres with him or gets shot of him. I'm just sorry he hasn't got back to the earlier form.

    People seem to forget he played well enough when he first arrived. Certainly hasn't been the same since his injury which is a great pity. Having said that, I wouldn't play him again until he gets back to better form..... unless we have no other options available.

    We need to be self-sufficient and stop wasting money buying duds on long contracts on very high wages. Our wage bill is shamefully high. We have spent a lot on the stadium maintenance which was needed and spent a stupid fortune on New Ed House. Off-loading Roofe, Davies, Wright, Lammers, Dessers etc would be a start. Even Steve Davis retiring saves a big wage.

    Came on this thread to talk about other players but it seems to have changed to Raskin. I'll start with him. Came on today and first minutes he was awful.. He settled down and started to get into the game. He needs a bit of time. Diomande is looking really good. Cortes was poor for me but buried his goal really well. Silva was really lively and offered a different option.

    Been outstanding recently. Clement has JL playing out of his skin. My motm today by a country mile.

    Just seen UEFA confirmed our game on 7th March. Sporting playing on 5th.

    According to UEFA rules we should play Benfica on Thursday 7th. Sporting Lisbon game has to move.

    Our youth set-up results make very poor reading.

    I think Balogun is a far better defender than Souttar and Barisic creates more than Ridvan. However, it's all about opinions.

    Back on topic, Saturday's game is a win at all costs with hopefully an early goal to get us off to a good start. My starting 11 would be Butland, Tav, Goldson, Balogun, Barisic, Lundstram, Sterling, Cantwell, McCausland, Silva, Cortes.

    Raskin only joined us 13 months ago. He got rave posts on RM for his initial displays. He has been out injured for a considerable period and needs to get back to his previous form. The boy will only turn 23 in a couple of days and has more than 3 years left on his contract. Hopefully PC can get him playing to his potential.

    Sterling looked really poor at full back but has absolutely blossomed in midfield. Doubt many saw that coming.

    Me too. Only Greig, Henderson and Brand left from a team whose names just effortlessly came to the fore.

    Doku was something like 65 million Euros when Man City bought him. I don't rate him at all in any game I've seen him he's like their version of Sakala. Rennes must be nipping themselves at getting that sum.

    We should just make the most of him while he is here. Can't see us getting him on loan again next season.

    Not aware we have any option to buy Sima.

    Goldson's problem is he thinks he's a footballer. He can ping a long ball which is good but when he starts to get clever at the back instead of making either a simple pass or booting into safety that is when he mucks up or gets caught out.
