Why play 1 up front? It doesnt work.

Candeais scores that second and we go into east street saying the tactic worked. Especially with Pena having an impact.

He fucked the chance, we drew, the tactic was shite.

Fine margins

Which happened last week as well; he missed a chance to put us two up before half time. We will play the system we need to play, but rather than focusing on systems OP, it will be all down to the players and their performance at the weekend; not a system.

Not understanding this tonight.

It didnt work under McCoist.

It was a glorified 4 5 1 under Warburton.

Tonight could have been 4 4 2 easily - even with an under 21 in the squad up front.

The tims play with one up front and sadly it's working well for them. 442 is gone for top teams as it allows them to be outnumbered in midfield. A striker supporter by a real ten is the way ahead wether it be 3-5-1-1, 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 .

I would love to see 3 5 2 against the taigs. With our defenders staying in our half and not bombing forward.

And our 2 attackers never coming back.

Correct we take half the chances we create in the 90 mins and we win by at least 3 or 4,that's not a failure of the system we did the same on Friday playing 4-4-2

Im thinking Morelos and Miller will start.

Although I may be clutching at straws and Miller will be in goals.

I hope Miller doesn't start, although someone was reminding me tonight that he turned up for these matches last season. It's a difficult one, because of the fact that our midfield is hot and cold at times.

It was basically 1 up front with a close supporting midfielder (reverting to a 4-4-2), a no.10 if you like. Pena was up there trying to link with him for a while but it just didn't click as far a goals were concerned but Pena has hardly kicked a ball for us, although he did ok. The other options were the other players filling in and supporting such as Candeias or Windass (haha) who spends most of the game blowing out his ass. Miller will take the Pena role on Saturday.

The reason he played one up top is because he was testing the formation out before we play scum.

he is right to test it out because if we play 442 against the filth we will get slaughtered,we need to pack the midfield

We won! We never looked in difficulty and the issue was not taking chances, not our formation.

It was a bit disappointing, to say the least, losing a goal on 90 minutes (especially after dropping points against Thistle earlier). Saying that it is beginning to look like a team of hard players instead of a collection of soft individuals. Better without Millar. No worse without Fod. No worse without Wallace. If all the players are firing then we could have  something to offer. A few more millions to spend and we really would be a team. It doesn't look like Pedro is such a basket case anymore. Will need to see how it goes though.
