The thing is, I don’t blame the Hibs player one iota.
They try their luck with a bad yin early on (eg the stamp on Kent) and the ref says “wire in, lads” so what do you expect them to do?
So they slip in a wee forearm here and a scrape down the heel there until EVENTUALLY the official decides it’s maybe becoming just too obvious.
But, up until that point, the ref has given them a green light and any player will happily exploit such freedom to get away with brutality.

celtic have had 8 players sent off but 17 opponents have seen red in the same period.

Since our return to the spl Morelos and Jack combined have been sent off more times in the league (10) than the entire scum squad have (8).
Both have been 2 of our most influential players during that period. Repeated reds ramp up increased suspensions.
None of this is coincidence.

There really was little protection offered and no consistency shown by Clancy. No issues with Borna yellow but when one of their players hauls back our player in similar circumstances not even spoken to. A few of their pkayers got off with 2 or 3 challenges that could easily have been bookings.
Big one he got wrong was a blatant red for the assault on Alfie.
0 for, 1 against.

If he is the best we have then it’s staggering.
The fact that he fabricated a foul at the weekend to avoid giving us a penalty is shocking.

Collum is highly rated by UEFA, fuck knows why.
Everytime he does a European game it seems to be controversial.
On Saturday past he wasn’t incompetent against us, he lied to avoid giving us a penalty.
A ref should at the very best be demoted for that, perhaps even lose his job.
If he lies he cannot be trusted to do the job properly at any level.

As I said previously, it would be better in the long run to have international qualifications condensed in 2 -3 week round robin, based in a host country- end of season competitions. That would maximise the TV revenue, hardly any fans turning up at home matches pre COVID says it all.
