  1. Breakfast TV mentioned that he needs a big brother figure etc etc. and. I just thought (maybe risky) but bring him back to rangers in a coaching role, shoehorn him in for when Walter moves on, can you magine that happening? I know somecwill say he'll get drunk, go missing etc. Etc. But what if he just needs a day to day job in football, he's one of our legends and I for one would be willing to give him a chance, get well soon Gazza.
  2. no thanks. If we can afford him we should be in for Andy Carroll of Newcastle, hes got a mention on SS today, Peter Lovenkrands says he should be selected by Craig Levein for the National squad as he has scottish grandparents. He has put away 17 goals in 34 appearances for Newcastle, and reminds me a bit of Mark Hately in height and strength!
  3. I think he will go, try something different, good weather, idolised by the turkish fans (if he scores as as he's done here) and up to £2m per year.... then come back to rangers and finish career with a sun tan, a few bob and less weight!
  4. Wot he said! I live in england and get into the atmosphere of it all then some commentator prat like Motty says 1966 blah blah "...and scotland didn't qualify", then its time for the mute button!
  5. Ive never seen this video it is magnificent!! would be fantastic to add this years celebrations.
  6. I agree Mark Lawreson, face like a soor sweety, and wasn't interested in anything other than the EPL. Knob
  7. Dont know if you know of this ringtone site, got 'the best' on my iphone free, just on time for the weekend! http://audiko.net/ringtone/Tina+Turner/The+Best?ring=262110&featured=
  8. Taking my son (5 years old) who has never been to a game before for the first time saturday. Wanted to get into the Bill Struth, so got tickets for main rear c section with restricted view, does anyone know if this is really bad or just a pillar in the way of one of the goals?
  9. Inspiring yesterday, we may never see another rangers man, fan manager like him in our lifetime. A lasting tribute to Walter should be made at ibrox wether it be a stand naming or statue or a Managers Hall of fame along the marble staircase, along side the other greatest managers - Struth, Symon, Wallace. My personal preference would be a statue, a bit like the statue in the Rocky movie where he holds his hands up, showing that he's not just a manager but a fan! Just a thought.
  10. excellent, now if that had Simply the best as the audio track.....
  11. Hello Hello we are the Establishment Boys
  12. Safari on the mac for me - v quick rendering, although safari based on the same mozilla engine that firefox uses I believe.
  13. Simply the Best and Simply the best supporters in the world! Awesome
  14. worse defender we have had in years! he can dribble a bit, put him in midfield, could do worse.
  15. as one of the posters said before a good shift and a win will do me, look at it this way neither Miller or Naismith has scored in the CL, and they gets a game!
  16. how about a poll admin? could average up the donations? I would give £500 if guaranteed not to go to directors fees.
  17. This definitely wouldn't work if it was only for a few years. If we went down this road we'd have to stay on it, you can't turn round and say to the fans help us fund this for a say until we get back on our feet and then you're out on your arse again. And the Barcelona model is 155 euros a year for an adult member of the club, with a 10% discount on club merchandise from official club stores, and up to a 20% discount on tickets. "..only for a few years... to get back on our feet...", then its peoples choice to continue which Im sure they would, the rest of the post was more important than that little few words...
  18. I like the idea, maybe £1000 pa is too much of a commitment for most fans, but if those members had reduced season tickets, and say 25% off buying rangers goods in Rangers stores and other similar benefits, where there is still income generated for the club, that could really work. The last time we felt the 'call' was manchester 2008, some say 200,000 fans were there, I was there, just felt the need to be there, we all had associated costs in that trip say a couple of hundred quid on average. So if becoming a new member meant a couple of hundred quid to help guide our beloved club albeit maybe only for a few years out of this turmoil then this is one fan that would without question.
  19. Isn't this down to Adam Owen as Head of sport science for fitness etc, or maybe it's those black strappy things that each player wears for performance data thats weighing them down!! LOL
  20. Kaunas was bad, also home defeats to Juventus and sevilla but this is the worst ive felt after a rangers match.
  21. back on topic, I watched the match and thought the same, this guy looked good, could be an just what we need. He's scored against us and sceptic, 28 years old and an international player. Could be a january buy if theres any funds available. although looking a his wikipedia profile he's a bit inconsistent.

  23. From what I have seen in the games Boyd has played this season he seems to get the ball with his back to goal and not many clear opportunities in front of goal, have opposing teams wised up and pushed up based on our formation this year? Just a thought
  24. Hopefully he will, I think I think getting to the last 16 in 2005 was helped not only by PRSo's experience in CL but also Kyrgiakos and Rodriguez, big defenders with lots of experience, just concerned Big Davie will be targeted for close quarter 1-2s
