I’d be excited by the name value (anybody who says they wouldn’t be is lying) but it’s the fact that it’s another manager who is obsessed with playing a specific way that worries me. We’ve been trying this “attacking philosophy” thing for nearly three years now and it’s not really working, maybe a more capable manager can take the work done so far and bring it on a level, but right now I think we need somebody who is a bit more pragmatic and savvy.

For me that's a massive risk and I said as much previously. He's not the right fit for us and we aren't the right fit for him just now.
But if it's him I'll get excited anyway
 

We were pretty lucky to grow up in the era that we did. I actually feel sorry for the younger bears who will be 8-10 now. Running about your gardens pretending you are Jason Holt or Martyn Waghorn isn’t exactly the same as pretending you are Ally McCoist or Gazza is it?

A decent manager and two top drawer centre backs are number one priority for me.

I'll be interested to see what happens once we have a few more bodies back in that area of the pitch, ie: Dorrans and McCrorie. Hopefully after the international break we might see how that develops. 
4-2-3-1 has served us well away from home. At home it's clearly not wholly down to the formation, but it does make a difference. I think it's possible he's a bit reluctant to change to 4-4-2 because of the CM's available to us just now.

Squad wise we are closer than at any point in 6 year. We now need a manager who can drill us into a unit and instil fresh ideas when teams park the bus.
Up to today we had won 2 games less than those who like children's bums. It's the 8 (now 9) loses which have killed us. If we had a manager in the SWS mould then I do genuinely believe we'd be at least level if not in front. We have lost 9 games. 6 or 7 of them have been at home.
That's inexcusable

There was an element of luck to them winning the game, however, much of what he attributes to luck is actually their manager making a good tactical decision.
As much as I think there probably has been a little bit of an overreaction because this one has hurt quite badly, the only real slice of luck for them was Morelos' miss.

When a player shows the opponent the line it's on him to get the block. He was showed the line. Cardoso should gave covered the gap behind that to prevent exactly what happened.
Ach I know Alves isn't to blame for goal 3. But when he strolls about like an oap he does tits in and sometimes it's easier to blame a guy who tries but fails than a guy who is involved but doesn't really try ie Alves at the 2nd. 
Alves as a CH prevented 0 of the 3 goals. Hardly inspiring.

Aye that’s my point exactly - I try and look at it from a rugby perspective and take into account phases of play sometimes - maybe that’s a bit ocd but it’s good when it comes to seeing who’s responsible and who’s not to blame

Handy that Killie have played for 120 mins tonight ahead of Saturday.

Don't even care about the tap in - had to score the 1v1 at 2-2. He's really got a lot of strong elements to his game but I think finishing can let him down sometimes - which feels odd to say considering the season he's had so far.

Feel sorry for the 'keeper on the second one, defender should just clear it. You're not expecting him to leave it - and if he does you're expecting it to run wide. First one he got away with, despite the fact it turns out the ref made the right decision.

Unbelievable. The majority of his time on the pitch has been from the bench, when the games have been pretty much over. When he’s had significant time, he’s done well.

One win in six for Pedro and 3 points off bottom, anybody that doesn't see him as anything other than the con-man he was is genuinely a mongo. 

Candeias works his arse off and creates 2 clear cut chances per game. That cross las night was fucking sublime. Good bit of business.
