  1. I thought, considering us playing one defender at the back, McGregor did ok. To be quite fair, Ricky 'and the move breaks down' Foster and Lee 'Dining out on past success' McCulloch were rank. Oh and don't get me started on Steve 'Zoolander' Simonsen, until now I'd never actually seen a keeper who can't dive to his right. We have so many problems but until we sort out our defence the rest is sticking plasters. Our bench highlighted our main problem quite well. 5 strikers and one defender.
  2. Probably still a better Striker than the ones we currently have. Stick a number 9 shirt on him
  3. If you feel that Yes is the way forward then vote Yes. If you feel that No is the way forward then vote No. There has been a deluge of bollocks and counter bollocks from both sides and a pretty well behaved debate has been reduced to the usual bollocks over the last couple of weeks, largely down to the political parties spouting even more fearmongering bollocks. It is with great pride that I have seen my nation in the whole rise above this and continue to debate where they can. So good luck to both sides and for those who wish to drag it down to an angry, shouty, fighty mess. Go fuck yourself
  4. Well it is certainly a 'simple' view. Why are you putting issues in quotes?
  5. Nice to know that you based probably the most important political decision Scotland is ever likely to face on the Football team you support. I thankfully won't be voting due to being an ex-pat, however I'm so glad that people are voting based on such refined political and social analysis.
  6. We have no width, no midfield to speak of and a Right Back who's name normally is mentioned before 'and the move breaks down'. We have Boyd who needs crosses which we don't deliver and Miller who creates space for a non existent Midfield to get into the box to score goals that nobody is there to set up. The blame lies squarely with McCoist, who signed them and seems to lack the vision to see that none of the current players can gel as a team.
  7. We play against part-timers, week in, week out. If you play at a particular level all the time, it is incredibly difficult to suddenly play above that level and it doesn't matter what players or what manager you have. The most difficult thing is to keep your motivation and we seemed to have that in spades yesterday but the fact that we have been playing at a far lower level for 2 seasons showed where it mattered. I don't envy McCoist one bit in the job that he is being asked to do.
  8. Ferguson's free kick in the 2002 Cup Final. Followed by Lovenkrands winner. GIRFUY
  9. Disagree with you on Aird. He's a bag of energy and can finish which isn't a bad couple of traits to hold for a midfielder/winger.
  10. In a team that will be attacking for the majority of a game that needs someone to simply put the ball in the back of the net, there are very few better than Boyd. He struggles when he needs to do more than score which is a given and also why we had players like Miller and Novo in the team.
  11. "We don't play nice enough football", "we need pace", "we don't need someone like Boyd", we don't need the clubs record scorer, fucking blah blah blah, boo fucking hoo. He want's to come, we want to sign him, I'd have him back in a heartbeat along with Miller and most of the others that left. We need to win the Championship before we need to start worrying about the quality of football we will be turning out in order to win it. Fuck sake, I've lost count of the number of trophies won under Walter that bore more resemblance to Pumpherston Athletic than Barca fuckin lona. People need to take a reality check. I couldn't give a flying fuck if we pumped the ball from the keeper straight to Boyd if it led to the goals that won the game. I only care that we get back into the top division so we can start exacting revenge on all the self serving wankers that put us in this situation.
  12. I met him a couple of times as his Brother worked with my Dad at SMT in East Kilbride and I don't recall him being an arsehole but was quite good at pool.
  13. This one from Terry Butcher for Dundee Utd. Best own goal I've seen. About the 30 second mark.
  14. Goram Stevens Gough Butcher Numan Laudrup B.Ferguson Albertz Cooper Hateley McCoist Subs : McGregor, McClaren, Mols, Van Bronkhorst, De Boer
  15. Get over yourself. John Terry has been with worse.
  16. Probably slipped on a Nando chicken bone that had fallen out of his teeth.
  17. Yes. Even if it is to come off the bench for 15 minutes and put a rocket up everyone. He was one player I was genuinely annoyed we allowed to leave. Should have did everything we could to keep him at the club.
  18. My boss was from Leeds and gave me a lift into work in the mornings. The morning after the Elland Road match the fucker tried to run me over. Worth every second of my dodging his bumper.
  19. It's Scottish football. You are not going to pass your way through 11 men behind the ball. Even in the top division you need players that you can lump it up to. If you think we should be playing like Barcelona in the 2nd Division you need your head seeing to.
  20. He bought the club for £1. This was done following assurances that he had the money to run the club. So he used smoke and mirrors to provide the assurance. If due diligence had been carried out correctly he would never have got the club. Said this all along. Those responsible for checking his financial history before the deal took place should be liable for damages.
  21. Ha! Fuck em. Hope Sky pulls the plug so we can watch the whole sorry lot of them circle down the drain.
  22. If he's fit, I'd take him. As for the youngsters, they are exactly that, youngsters and shouldn't be expected to play every single game. They certainly should have the opportunity to play with far more experienced pros and not instead of them. Same goes for Boyd and any other former player who would be willing to return. All this, "in the past" crap is exactly that, crap. Miller is a prime example of a player that didn't bomb, infact quite the opposite, when he came back.
  23. In reality all the SFA and SPL want is a method of fast tracking Rangers back into the top tier. As far as I was aware there were certain guarantees with regards to this and sponsors/tv providers and Rangers spending no more than 2 years out of the top tier. If that is to happen then the restructure needs to happen with us in the 2nd tier no matter what structure is agreed. If this doesn't happen the SPL or the teams that make it up and the SFA are fucked.
