  2. I always was under the impression we signed him as a Right Midfielder who could also play at right back. That is why we played him as a Left Winger.
  3. If we win both the old firm games we are 2 defeats and a draw away from level on points. That is not outwith the realms of possibility. Particularly given their habit of counting their chickens and ultimately bottling it.
  4. I agree 99.99% with this. Saying that though, there is still a niggling doubt in the back of my mind.
  5. Whoever was to buy us now would get a club with virtually no debt, no HMRC liability and a club that has been financially restructured to live within its means. If they had bought it last year they would be Whyte.
  6. There is as much chance of them getting to England as there is of Craig Whyte buying Portsmouth and transferring their registration to the newly formed Rangers GIRFUY FC.
  7. The SPL is a house of cards. Most teams rely upon the Old Firm home game twice a season for a huge chunk of their revenue, never mind the TV deal. No Rangers, no Old Firm, No Money, No SPL. It's that simple and anyone who denies it is an utter moron.
  8. Whether that club is a football or a social club is what is under discussion though.
  9. In a monaco bank account along with the season ticket and tax money? In a nutshell, until someone explains where the £24 million ticket money, 9 million tax money and 5 million jelavic money is I'm bamboozled by it all. Thats £38 million unaccounted for. What the shuddering fuck is going on.
  10. The full statement is pointing the finger at Whyte. Suggests he hasn't met any obligation he had agreed to prior to the sale of the club. I personally do not believe any of them and can only hope that the actual truth will come out in the coming weeks.
  11. To be perfectly fair, Davie Provan is relatively fair. CN is however an utter dick of a man.
  12. I'm pretty sure that is how Man Utd and Liverpool were bought by American Owners. They raised the capital to buy the clubs by securing loans against assets owned by the clubs they wanted to buy. You couldn't make it up. The important difference though is that both Man Utd and Liverpool are not in the SPL backwater.
  13. The guy speaks complete sense. If HMRC is preventing us from making any sort of progress then he is left with absolutely no other option. This is a mess created by the previous board. The same muppets who are slagging Whyte off in the press are 100% responsible for the mess we are in. I'd rather go into Administration now and get it out the way and start next season with a clean slate. The alternative is even worse. Anyone booing Whyte or criticising him over this need to get a grip on reality.
  14. Not his fault our chairman got the chequebook out. As for the players, Konterman, Ricksen, Ball, Dodds, Hendry, Guivarch, Kanchelskis and Prodan were all established international players and I won't hear a bad word about Amato, the guy was class. Were we went wrong was our need to have a squad of 30 players or so who all cost £2m +.
  15. How can he publicly slaughter a group of players that have just seen the best player leave and not be replaced. A group of players who despite what is being said are obviously being affected by what is happening off the park. Our three subs today consisted of 2 under 21s and a right back playing as a striker. We are in the shit and the only hope we have is that Ally can somehow keep them going because the future at the moment is pretty fucking bleak. The last time I saw Ibrox that empty was in the early 80's and it doesn't fucking help one bit. We, the supporters, are just as fucking culpable.
  16. Holt is a Norwich fan favourite. There was zero chance he was ever going to leave.
  17. Can I just make the point to people saying Bedoya and even Ortiz and McKay are poop or poor or struggling. It took Naisy 3 seasons to become the player he currently is. When he first joined he didn't look anyway close to the player he now is (and by that I don't mean injured). Same goes for Lafferty and Papac. It's a big leap joining a club our size and some players do take a bit of time to adjust. They may well turn out to be turkeys but a few months is not long enough to make that decision.
  18. He struggled against them due to Walter playing 1 up against them and that 1 very rarely being Boyd.
  19. This. We tried to punt him then waited till the last minute to offer him a realistic contract then acted all offended when he left. The guy scored goals for fun when he was confident and happy. When he is not confident and unhappy he doesn't score goals. We struggle badly to score goals against teams we should be putting 3 or 4 past. He is exactly what we need and if the worst happens and Jelavic is sold in January we will atleast have somebody that we know can score in the SPL. Better strikers than Boyd have gone through barren patches.
  20. We normally do but we are missing Lafferty and Naismith so needs must. McKay started his first game, Bedoya came on and replaced him and we won 3-1. Seriously, people complaining about us not playing entertaining football while we power ahead in the league are demented. We can play entertaining football when the personnel and situation allows it. I certainly won't be complaining while we keep winning.
  21. I was under the impression this was why Bedoya and McKay were bought, especially Bedoya who plays in the same position.
  22. So the medals were 'seized' at the SFA and then returned. Am I missing something here? Is there supposed to be a story?
  23. All I saw from the documentary was that Whyte was that he was in the 90's a bit on the edge with regards to his business practices and got caught and barred for 7 years as a result from working as a Director in the UK. He then buggered off to Monaco and continued to work as a VC from a abroad until his ban was lifted and he came back and that was it. Nothing at all that isn't already in the public domain. Everything else was speculation and accusation from the BBC. He's a bit dodgy but which really successful businessman isn't? What multi-millionaire hasn't avoided tax or used accountants to make money vanish and reappear. I'm actually with Whyte on this. It was nothing more than a hatchet job by BBC Scotland. Hell, Spiers pops up in the first 3 minutes which pretty much speaks volumes for the level of journalism on display.
