The last ROI player on Rangers' books that I'm aware of was Reuben Evans in the 1960s. I believe old Phil claims that it was Alex Stevenson and that he was born in the 19th century - Stevenson was in fact born in 1912.
He was sent off while on the subs' bench. Dunno what he did - mouthing?
Great shot by Malaga there and a great save. Malaga also had a goal disallowed - just offside.
IIRC wasn't there a thread posted on here with an Alastair Johnston interview saying there was interest but couldn't say any more?
I think we'd need to look at exactly what AJ said. He might have been talking about something vague rather than a proper bid or official expression of interest.
Here it is
It might be the difference between "expressing interest" (informally asking some questions or whatever) and a formal "expression of interest".

Dunno about the King deal but to be fair to DJ on the Scott Brown thing we were very close to signing him. In fact I believe a deal might have been verbally agreed then Brown went to Celtic for more money.
Well if they did it would surely cost us the prize money that goes with them - which we can ill afford.
Do we not have enough problems without more fines (or worse) over a song?
The original story was a pile of shit-stirring pish. FIFA rules are that Algeria can call Bougherra away if they want to.
Maybe he and Rangers can negotiate for him to stay for the Old Firm game - but in the end it's up to Algeria.
Malaga 1 Zaragoza 1. Just about finished. Totally mental "game of football". Absolutely stuffed with play-acting, assaults, spitting, etc. Kind of puts Henry's handball in perspective.
