  1. Is there any new-ish documentaries available about McCoist. I would love to sit my son down and show him a full story of his career. I know there were some Super Ally DV's back in the 90s but anything more recent? I mean, we can always got through old YouTube clips but there needs to be full length biography of the mans career
  2. One of those games was the tarriers. What was Gerrards record against them? When did we ever concede 4 without reply under Gerrard? I mean, we can go around in circles on Gerrard for days but the reality is that’s history and Gio is performing badly and the team is regressing at an alarming rate. I note he has changed from zonal marking to man for man marking so he can change. but I don’t have faith that he is going to turn this around and that’s the difference.
  3. A lie. Ok. I am lying. twice we had terrible dips in form after the winter break. Still something that hasn’t really been explained or understood. It can definitely be argued that the season being halted due to COVID saved Gerrards job. Can’t prove a negative so we will never know what would have happened if the season continued. still remains that the general trend was constant improvement year on year.
  4. It’s about progress. we were constantly getting better in Gerrards time. We have gone backwards under Gio He has stamped his style on the team and it’s woeful. Managers get time when they bring back respect and pride and move towards better things. They get fuck all leeway when we get beat 11-0 in 3 consecutive games and look like a mid table plodder against the worst team in the league at home.
  5. Sorry mate, but not a chance I am willing to take. once a precedent is set and someone goes to jail for singing a song I won’t be repeating the song in public until the next precedent is set and someone is acquitted for singing the same song. shitebaggery? maybe, but the bottom line is singing a song is not worth a risk of criminal charge. There are loads of things that I think are shite laws but laws they are regardless.
  6. Which signings? Souttar was in anticipation of Goldson leaving Yilmaz was because Borna was playing shite and his back up in Bassey was going Tillman and Lawrence were because Aribo was going Davies was because Bassey was going and Helander is finished All our signings have some logic to them. Some have been reckless gambles, some have been unlucky and some have been good. But you can see what the intent was in all of them.
  7. 😂. Agreed. I am a shitebag. I don’t want a criminal record for singing a song.
  8. I meant people start leaving in droves. Yesterday from 65 minutes on people were trickling away. That trickle will become a flow. It’s not easy to watch these games and people may still buy the tickets but they will voice their discontent and leave
  9. It’s interesting because I tend to agree with KingKirk regarding the board resolve but equally I felt that under Gerrard there was always progress. It’s the opposite with GVB. The fans are definitely turning, although not sure it’s open revolt yet but everyone at the club needs to be awake to how close that is. The atmosphere yesterday was the biggest warning so far and performances need to improve or the crowd will vote with their feet.
  10. It definitely is and I would love nothing more than for It to be allowed back but hasn’t this been totally flogged to death? I sang it myself today but when it got to the “naughty” line I stopped. Many people around me also stopped which, of course, kills the momentum of the song…. but those that continued obviously went with “up to our knees in soap dodgers blood” and despite the insanity of it all, this is what causes the bother. Until or unless it is challenged in a court of law and ruled that singing this is not illegal, the song is never going to be mainstream again.
  11. At least another 200. No way will they make a quick decision on this. The Europa League final and the massive Bassey profit has bought him at least this season in the eyes of the board.
  12. Was slightly tongue in cheek but I do think Beale is a very good coach and I do think he is destined for bigger things than QPR
  13. Just can’t agree to any of this. It is wrong tactics that have our players playing back the way constantly. Christ today there were numerous occasions where our players were In possession running forward and then just stopped for no reason and turned back and played a backward pass. That is 100% what they are being told to do. Declining players in their mid 30s I get. But Kent, Goldson, Tav, Jack, Lundstram are not going backwards because of age or time. They are diminishing because they are being coached and directed badly
  14. See on the topic of who would replace GVB, ….I am astonished that it is so hard to get a manager in that could coach the players we have, to win this league, and put up a fist of it against European opposition. This is more or less a team of players that beat Benfica, Leipzig, Dortmund and PSV. I could pick a handful of posters off this forum that could probably do a better job than Gio. 😂 Anyway, failing that. Take the 10 million from the Aribo sale and go get Michael Beale from QPR
  15. We spent all that money because Barisic is prone to dropping confidence and turning into utter dross. It could be argued that Barisic stepping up his levels is because Yilmez is here. I think far too much attention is on Wilson, he is not the main problem. There is justifications for his acquisitions.
  16. Not sure if it was the same incident but he was getting some stick from the crowd and he moved infield to escape it. He certainly knows he is not flavour of the month but I don’t see that he is trying to do anything about it
  17. He needs to go. There can be no debate. Our players look utterly bereft of confidence. They actually look scared to try anything risky at all. This is not a player problem it is a manager problem. If it was just Kent who looked terrified then you could blame him, but it’s every single player. As soon as we got the goal you could see no one wanted to go forward. They only wanted to keep the ball. It’s fucking embarrassing. And don’t try to tell me that the players aren’t capable every single one of these players have demonstrated they have an abundance of talent when correctly coached and motivated with the right tactics. Dundee United were absolutely fucking shite today and yet they caused us real problems. It’s unfortunate to be talking of a new manager already but the regression is staggering. The guy is a fucking coward and sends out his teams to “keep the zero”. Well our players excel when they are attacking the opposition and going for it and that he can’t see that, and instructs them to play in reverse means he needs sacked now.
  18. He was fucking bogging today. Can’t believe he got the full 90. Should not have come out after that first half.
  19. Every post I Make on McGregor starts with "I Love him but......" Pulling off two penalty saves last night is legendary stuff. He is definitely the better option than McLaughlin but we need better than both. We need a Goalkeeper that can command his box and take crosses especially given that our Center Half are shite at defensive headers. We would do well to fix that problem as well but that's another discussion Would love to see what Mcrorie can do
  20. Last Night was much, much better in terms of fight and performance. The players and management team need to show that in every single match when representing Rangers. GVB is on thin ice. He is way too cautious when away from home. If he hasn't figured out yet that this group of players perform better on the front foot then he is likely going to end his time here sooner rather than later. He is going to have to accept that the Goldson/Sands parternship is not working in Central defence, he is going to have to get rid of Zonal marking at corners, he is going to have to take "brave decisions" with the players that don't want to be here and fight for every inch (e.g. Kamara) and he is going to have to find a set up and personnel that can press constantly and attack with courage. Although last night was much better, having Jack, Davis and Lundstram in the same team is very conservative and the starting 11 is seriously really lacking in creativity. We need players who can split a defence I am of the view that he is not going to succeed here but remain hopeful that I am mistaken and he can turn it around
  21. Morelos is another one who has all the footballing ability we need. He has demonstrated it time and time again. Our all time scorer in European competition.....He can be a magnificent player and really comes alive in Europe and that is what the fans crave. But I think the reality is that he is just a bit stupid. Like, dumb as fuck. He has been here 5 years and barely speaks English, that is a pretty impressive level of ignorance either wilful or otherwise He is completely lacking in professionalism and we have had 5 years of problems with him not just one or two. The shirt pull last night while on a yellow is just absolutely stupidity... he has multiple examples of such idiocy, at his age it is not inexperience, its just flat out lack of intelligence .
  22. As others have said I thought his attitude was stinking when he came on. He has the ability but if he doesn't want to be here he should be nowhere near the team. We need players on the park with fight in them. The youth would be better than experienced pro's who have downed tools. The first half was a million times better because you had a starting 11 who wanted to atone for the fiasco's in the last two matches ... unfortunately it was a starting 11 from 2018 .... Sands tries his best but he is woefully ill-equipped to play Center Half against CL teams.
  23. Absolutely chronic defending at a corner for goal 1. Bad coaching unlucky deflection for goal 2 but should have been dealt with Tav absolutely brutal defending for goal 3 Jack gives the ball away for 4 poor goals every one. Nothing to do with the gap between A Rich club and a poor club, everything to do with bad coaching and good coaching.
  24. He is way too conservative. He plays to not lose. Instead of going to win. His team sit back and stand off way too much. Our team still had enough of the Beale effect in the ranks when we finished off the Europa run but that’s gone now. What we are seeing is now 100% GVB team and it’s stinking. Aribo and Bassey were special talents before GVB arrived and they were snapped up. What other player has improved under him. We are looking utter dross this season and that’s only a matter of weeks since Seville. Momentum is critical in football and we have completely lost it all
