It’s a shame, but the games with the more historic clubs such as Red Star Belgrade, Benfica, Ajax etc have even lost their glamour. The sides from the big 4 leagues are just so far ahead and have such squad depth, it’s impossible for sides from any other leagues to compete. People talk about Ajax getting to the semi final in 18/19 as almost a miracle, because it was. That shouldn’t be the case for a club that big with that good a fan base and youth academy etc. I doubt we’ll ever see a club from outside a big 4 league reach a final in the next 10 years, and I include the likes of PSG in that too.

Bit of both. Hes 1.5 years into a 4 year deal and our defence hasn’t been good enough in that time and we’ve yet to win trophies since he signed it. For wages in excess of £30k p/w, we should be getting a better return from the likes of him, Lundstram etc.

Good player on recent form, but not worth the £30-35k we’re paying him and has no resale value. We need to look at the mistake we made in resigning Goldson as a blueprint. If McAusland hadn’t come into the picture, then yes he’s exactly the kind of signing we should make. Leave him where he is, we need to give McAusland chances and if we sign a RW, he needs to be several levels above Armstrong (who I rate)

This could be a season where 85 points wins the league. Both us and the tarriers are garbage and the rest of the league knows it. It’ll probably be the weakest title winners in years, but we are in this still (somehow)

Yeah qualifying for the Conference League is worth that to them, so selling their captain and best player in Jan would require a big bid. If you can get Shankland for under £2million, it’s worth it. If you’re talking £3-4million, I’d rather go for Miovski who is a lot younger and has a lot more potential upside. Plus Aberdeen aren’t even getting top 6, so they’ll need the cash

We’ve got a gem here. Boy deserves to be starting most weeks on current form. He’s got multiple skill sets, be it carrying the ball, passing and moving, early crosses, plus he’s not afraid to shoot either.

Tom Lawrence looks done as a footballer. We’d be best giving up on him and getting Hagi back to play that role in Jan

Would like to keep him, but don’t think he’s worth paying more than £3-4million for. Can’t see Brighton selling him for that, they’ll be looking at players at us like Tillman with a similar output getting bids over £10million.

Koppen was head of youth recruitment at Genk, so clearly knows/worked with Clement before.

He can only play in a 4-2-3-1 if he’s the 10, anywhere else he’s not effective. I think him and Lawrence could play together, but only if we change to a 4-3-3 with one CDM and they both play as 8s. Sadly, can’t see Clement moving away from the former rather than the latter.
