His development has stalled under our management and coaching team, they will be no doubt trying to train any flair or originality out of him in case he fucks up on the pitch.

I am pretty worried that Boyd might be sold should an offer come in during Jan e.g. from Eck. I personally think this would be a big mistake and could cost us the leauge... Do you think we will get rid of him or he will stay?

You basing this on reserve performances or his limited exposure to the first team? He looked a very good player at youth level, remember seeing him score a cracking 30 yarder. Has been wasted along with many others.

What do you base this on? I mean he soared through the age groups, looking head and shoulders above him peers then seemed to have plateau as he entered the first team. I realise its a big step, but I expected him to be looking more of a regular by now, if he was indeed to be the best thing to come trough a Scottish youth set up in so long (unfair hype for the lad I know). I just hope he has his head screwed on and whats it enough to put in the hours and not just be satisfied with the fact hes made the first team squad and has "made it".

You think this is something he has improved. Seems a bit sharper as of late, perhaps due to increase fitness? I'm really hoping he isn't one that thinks hes made it and throws it all away. His progress has slowed down somewhat, I did really expect him to be an instant success in the SPL. I hope also the coaches are keeping on top of him on his technique, something he was naturally gifted with. Rather than weeding the flair out of him, in favour of graft for defensive duties; alot of our players appear to lack rudimentary technical skills. I really hope buy the beginning of next season he is a full fledged starter every week.

Can't imagine a lad of an already tall heigh like himself growing 3" after the age of 17. But he will fill out. Another inch would do him no harm though.

If hes going in Jan, may aswell keep the young man in. Another Euro match will do him a world of good.
