The trialist rule has helped various clubs through out the years. There is/was no need to get rid of it. Neil McCann at Dundee springs to mind - your not telling me he was a "trialist".
I for one think that in today's world a man has right to fly the flag of his birth. But I just wanted to point out to the OP that you never ever see a Union Jack at parkhead
Today's result for the young Rangers team against Man City coupled with the results the young Scottish international teams get (2-2 against Belgium) got me thinking where does it all go wrong for young Scottish players? We seem so far away as a nation from the top level.
Too many drama queens on here, an experienced pro who has played at the top level. Having someone like that around the dressing room can only be a good thing
The whole affair is turning in to an Eastenders omnibus! Nothing would surprise me anymore. Next we will be seeing Imran prancing about the board room with a pair of pat butchers earrings whilst Stockbridge pours his heart out after a night at the queen Vic. How did we get to this mess?!
I actually thing we would have been more exciting to watch had we played all the kids this season. Guys like Macleod, McKay, Mitchell, Templeton, Aird and even young Walsh would be first picks for me. Let the youngsters grow together.
I reiterate what I said in the quoted post, King may have had a checkered past in South Africa however he has already shown he is willing to invest in Rangers whilst expecting nothing in return.
King has already expressed his desire to fund Rangers whilst looking for nothing in return. He knew all along the only way for Rangers to continue was to go down the newco route and he was proved right. As for all this SA tax nonsense, he exploited a loophole in their tax system and has now agreed to settle the bill. With all of the above in mind coupled with the fact that he is a close friend of Smith and McCoist I see no reason to be wary of King taking over. We could do a lot worse than have Dave King at the helm.
Actually mate is not a knee jerk reaction. The picture of the "zombie" in his avatar is a subtle hint... Head in the sand loyal... Also - if you look at my reply you will also see I was not only rational but went on to give a valid opinion, regardless of the fact the OP is fishing.
The OP is obviously a fan of a "certain" club - going by his avatar and location, not forgetting the use of the word "timmy" - a term that is affectionately used on "certain" fan forums. However he does also have a point - many of us do let our love for Ally blind us when we are judging him as a manager, for example I am willing to give him one more season to prove himself when if I am honest with myself if it was anyone else I would want him gone.
Pretty sad that any time we drop points we have the same posters calling for his head. No matter what league you play in you are going to have the odd bad result.
