There is no pride or respect in playing for Rangers anymore. We as a club and team are a laughing stock and it permeates through to the players. Blame the boardroom shite all you want but that's just an excuse for being average. I have repeatedly said that i am finding it difficult to see a way out of this mess and a return to former glories. If we are to run within our means as Ashley has done at Newcastle then we will be a mid table mediocre team for years to come. If King assumes control of rebuilding then we are going to need upwards of £30 to £40m just to get back to the level we were at. And this also means running at a loss and incurring significant debt. A lesson we simply will not learn from and the reason why we are where we are. King also said 3 to 5 years before we are "competing". Will the support last another year let alone 3 to 5?

Playing in Scotland is now the equivalent of the Irish or Welsh league. The game has been ruined by many things. However the biggest one has been money. Between them Sky and the EPL have ruined Scottish Football. We also have to look at the problems we have created. Principally the fans being treated like shit on the end of your shoe by snobs and control freaks in positions of power and responsibility. Hatred and bigotry by small minded wankers at other clubs also led us down to where we are. Like it or not Scottish Football cannot prosper without Rangers or the bheasts playing in the same league. As unpalatable as that is too many (myself included) that is the harsh reality of Scottish Football. It is also why the SPFL has no sponsor and will not get one until we return. Then you have to look at the matchday experience from a fans point of view. Winter football No star players (to attract fans back especially kids) High ticket prices Lack of atmosphere No standing areas Treated like criminals by police and stewards. Treated like criminals and scum by the media Treated like 2nd class citizens by the Government. Football is an entertainment business and it basically laughed off Barry Hearns comments. We know better is the usual mantra from people who couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery. Never in all my years of watching football has the ordinary fan felt more distanced from his club and the game in general. Can it change..yes Does the game want change..no.

McCulloch and Miller fit means only one thing. McCulloch definitely waltzing back in and Miller may do so as well. With Zaliukas out also we could (god forbid) have looked to repeat the success of young Murdoch. Sinnamon and Halkett could have been used but won't be. Another scrappy game awaits.

Pace is the key and without it we struggle. Murdoch has brought more pace and urgency in to the midfield as has Vuckic. Up front we need to match that pace. Walsh and Hardie are deserving of a call up to the squad but not a start...yet. If McCulloch is fit he will return so no point thinking otherwise. And if he does it reinforces my belief about him having a clause to start every game. Mbabu had his first training session this week so he may figure as well. Going to be harsh on some of the lads if we do go on a winning run then the Newcastle lads get fit and take their place.

Hate to say it but i think we are too far down the road for it to be defended properly. David Murray wanted rid of everything associated with the Orange and Protestantism. All through McCoist's reign and now with McDowall there has not been a genuine challenge for places in the team. You could always pick at least 9 maybe 10 every single game. Only positions were wide left and right that seemed to be changeable. McDowall is not daft and can clearly see we played much better against Hibs. Silly individual errors cost us big time. We played with more tempo and urgency. We passed the ball better. Ironically we defended better as a unit (apart from the mistakes). Recalling McCulloch brings nothing better to the team and neother does Simonsen. I cannot get my head round this fear of not having McCulloch in the team. And for me Robinson and Simonsen are both on a par with each other. Difference is that Robinson commanded his 6 yard box better. And he was also quicker with his distribution. Never mind though i am not being positive enough according to the resident plonker so it's 5-0 Rangers with McCulloch scoring all 5.

McCulloch was returning of that there was no doubt. Only McDowall can tell us what is so special about this lump of wood. Means we will play deeper than against Hibs and this will affect the midfield. An entire style and system devoted to one over the hill player.

Aird is not good in any position. His close control and awareness isn't good enough to play up front. Plays with his head down looking at the ball too much. After this season is over i fully expect with a new manager to see him leave. And i doubt there will be many interested parties even in this league. Clark, Vuckic and Daly would be my 3 to start tonight.

I won't pick out Boyd just because he has a poor return. All our strikers have a poor return this season. Which is to be expected when you play Black and Law every week with very little width or talent. If you don't create chances regularly you won't score goals. And then when one does come along they inevitably snatch at them or hurry them. The system and midfield has in my opinion been more to blame than individual strikers. The fact Law is our top scorer and Gallagher second says it all.
