If I had to choose, it'd be Rangers winning the CL every time. I don't see why it's a choice people should have to make though.

Why "should" it be Rangers? As it happens I support Rangers far more than I do the Scottish NT, but who are you to tell people who they should support? If people feel more passionate about their country than their club or vice-versa then that's their decision. Doesn't make them any more or less of a fan.

If there are Scots who have no interest in international football and therefore no interest in how Scotland's national team fares then that's their lookout - I'm not going to deride them for being "unpatriotic" as so many of the Tartan Army would. What irks me slightly is people who make it their business to cheer teams playing against Scotland just because they don't want to be associated with a faction of its supporters. I can't speak on behalf of everyone but I certainly don't want to be associated with the Buckfast loyal that rioted in Manchester, doesn't stop me supporting Rangers, why should supporting Scotland be any different? Is fervently disliking the Scotland team a means of displaying your Protestant/British credentials? As i've said, I don't mind folk who are indifferent to the NT and/or international football in general, but the "stick yer Tartan Army" brigade should grow the hell up.

I'll rephrase that......civilised people tend not to get hung up over such issues.

Obviously an American with Irish roots who also happens to support the NY Rangers. It's not as if it's a RFC flag or anything, they're a different club who play a different sport, and who have no religious or political affiliations like we do. Rangers and Celtic fans can be very insular about these things....I know that religion and sports are very much intertwined here, but the rest of the civilised world really doesn't care.

I don't think we'll underestimate Bursa in the way we did FC Urine - much as they are unknown quantities. I'd be very happy with 3rd, over the moon with 2nd.
