A bit contradictory this post mate....can't see him being able to come good as a 4th choice centre back

He will do a job for us to cover for injuries, suspensions, cup runs, rotations etc. We need a squad to win the trophies and he is more than good enough to help us with that.

  2. Hopefully we learn the lessons of last season and any ‘sellable assets’ are sold if they won’t sign new contracts or indicate they don’t want to be here.

Fully expect Goldson, Barisic to be gone and probably Aribo, Kent & Kamara. Hoping we can get another season out of Morelos.

Holding onto some of these players I think cost us this year domestically. Goldson, Barisic, Kamara & Kent really had substandard seasons outwith EL run and if we didn’t have European football their value would’ve plummeted massively.

Dortmund and RB are better teams, but I also thought the same when we got beat by Zenit in the last final (we had beaten better teams in the lead up to get there). Already freaking out I wont see the game as I only have council TV 😔

BT sports always put it on YouTube live in Hd quality for free. Same with all European finals.

The only upside will be if its for two seasons. They get in next season, but then with the pressure of being in the champs league struggle domestically so we win the league next season and get straight in

Next season, celtic will most likely get papped out in the group stages by finishing bottom and be out of Europe by Christmas.

We will be in the Europa finishing 2nd or 3rd and causing ourselves more fixture congestion than celtic by having to play ko’s in Europa League or Conference whilst keeping the coefficient healthy for celtic to reap the rewards domestically

  5. Terrible.

These players actually think after last season they have some given right just to turn up to win the league/games. celtic have wanted it more this season which is unforgivable.

We deserve everything we get domestically this season which will probably be nothing.

Massive clear out needed - whether Gio is the man to oversee this - major questions remain for me.

He spent most of the second half holding his arms out to his sides, with a gentle clap of the hands every so often. I have no idea how he can guide us to victory over Dortmund in the EL, then stands like a little boy lost against the dross we have to face in Scotland.

Maybe can’t cope with the expectation?

Dortmund was a free shot as not many were expecting us to advance and that perhaps played into his hands. Even at Feyenoord the expectation was  Ajax or PSV would win the league and he came up with the goods then too.

Might also be that he doesn’t have a plan for teams which sit back and are happy to get a draw vs us 99% of the time.

Things could get worse before they get better but the question is how much more can GVB survive if we continue on this trend?

Results have been abysmal but we are still in the title race and have to face the scum twice. We need to start winning. This isn't GVB team or his players. I would still give him next season at this stage. But if shit goes south we will always have a contingency. And some of the decisions he has had against him by officials is nothing short of a disgrace.

As I said, I hope you are right and GVB proves me wrong but I’m still to see something which convinces me domestically we are going down the correct path

If Postecoglou comes to Scotland and wins the double/treble in first year I am not GVB could survive that and we should be looking at that as a real possibility unfortunately

County and motherwell were individual errors, how can thr manager be blamed for that ffs

Every single game where a team drop points is down to individual/collective errors.

When the same players are making these costly errors and are continually being selected, I also hold the manager accountable for them.

GVB is just in the door we won't be sacking him. If we need a rebuild it will be GVB in charge so keep dreaming.

If we don’t win the league with the advantage he inherited he shouldn’t (and yes I would hope not as well) be with us.

i want him to prove me wrong but the warning signs are clearly there and we should be looking at contingency plans like all big/successful clubs do

Fuck off GVB hasn't even been backed the players have had countless chances.

With how we have been performing and the form I’m glad GVB hasn’t been backed.

Surrendering leads vs Ross County, Aberdeen & Motherwell plus that shite at Parkhead - the warning signs are there and we don’t have to continue down that path. Players & Management need to shoulder that blame
