Are you suggesting we can only get atmosphere by singing particular songs?

This doesn't directly affect me as I need to be seated, and if it were to happen, is be fine with it as long as I got another seat I can get to from the Albion in as little steps as possible. Christ I might even end up with a better seat!
HOWEVER, this is not about me - it's about improving the atmosphere at Ibrox - and that statement also makes clear it's not all about the UB's either.
I can understand people not wanting to give up a seat they've had for years, no matter they're reasoning. They have that right to keep their "own" seat if they like.
But let's at least have the Club investigate the possibilities before we start infighting about this seat or that.
There's always a way. Eg what if it were to cost £10 more to be in the singing section, and everybody who has to move gets a £10 voucher to spend in the Megastore?
This is just one example of how a solution can be found. I'm sure there's many more.
PS I'd love tae get a hold of that megaphone and shove it up whoever's erse is bawling through it! ??

The safe standing at Parkhead was around £500,000 all-in, I think.

Nothing snidey about it, you think you have some new idea that nobody has thought of before.   You are the one that suggested people had to move with the times.  You and others think that a standing area is the be all and end all without giving it much thought which you appear to agree with yourself.  I'm not opposed to a standing area but if people have an idea then they need to give it some more serious thought.  For example someone suggested the East Corner but I believe some of that is used by hospitality so what does the club do about that?  It is all very well suggesting something but the logistics need to be considered.  If the UB want consideration for their ideas then they should give it more thought and come up with a serious proposal.  Will the UB come up with the numbers of fans who will pay the same money for season tickets of those they will be replacing?

The only reason that the UB or rats across the city can't behave the way European ultras do, is because of the police state we live in.
You get jail time shoved up your arse for a song, never mind pyro displays at home

If we're being honest mate, and we need to be, the problem we have, and the reason the atmosphere has deteriorated, is due to the laws we and the club now operate under.
In Europe, they don't have the Protestant/Catholic situation we have, and that's me putting it simply.

They're fine they get the full stadium going but I've seen them started all over the stadium before especially in the Govan when I sat there. Numerous times the UBs have started to sing something else while another part of the stadium is trying to start a song.

Exactly, some people have a problem with UB but its not about them, they're just the driving force behind it.
For example, that petition set up by someone has +4000 signatures in less than a day. UB has about 40-60 -actual members. Its not about them, they actually say that in their statement.

I'm not affected by this issue and it's not something I'm against, but I'd say the Club are correct in that it's not an urgent matter at this moment in time.

I agree with you, but if the Club don't bring in players OR provide safe standing, then that's not on.
I think the problem is more that the Club have shown a distinct lack of interest on the matter.
As I've often said, we are victims of our own loyalty, and the hierarchy know that.

I'd ask the SLO to get a questionairre organised for ST holders that would be affected/were interested in joining/were not interested in joining BUT would be in favour of it.
Also to get the away fans moved incorporated into the overall plan.
Eg. I'm not interested in joining BUT I'm in favour of it AND I don't lose my current seat.

The full CF as a standing section is the dream. Thats plenty to create a noise every game.

The big games the atmosphere at ibrox takes care of itself , I don't see the full stadium rocking against your Hamilton's or Ross counties just because a section of people are now standing , the atmosphere at every stadium in the world depends on the fixture

Better get a winning team on the park or there will be plenty safe standing and sitting areas!

The bit I agree with most in that statement is that ibrox has been left to rapidly decline over the past six years. The place is filthy, the food is rotten and not befitting of the money we pay for STs. Positive change should be pushed for everywhere in the ground.

Get the money spent on players who can get us back to winning ways, then concentrate on stuff like this.

I will imagine that King like Murray before him only wants us to pay our money and come to Ibrox..sit down and clap politely as doing that will build bridges..
The Enclosure's should be standing..end of..I don't see it happening any time soon though..

It is a no brainer. And at least then, everybody else in the ground who is unable or unwilling to stand can watch the game untroubled.
