  1. Blackpool also have no pressure on them whatsoever as they were expected to get pumped pretty much every week anyway, so they've been able to basically just throw caution to the wind and go for it regardless of who they play. This element of surprise gave a few good early results and subsequently their confidence has soared and you can see this throughout the team. Smith never has done and never will approach any game in any other manner than safety first, its just his way.
  2. This is it (posted on another forum so cant take credit for finding it) http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=20kt36h&s=7
  3. ICT are in form away from home but at home they've only won 8 points out of a possible 24, so its not as if its some kind of fortress that we should be glad to come away from having nicked a point.
  4. Its almost as if the players and management are buying into this 'we're knackered' excuse that gets rolled out time and time again and are starting games hoping that they'll sneak a win putting in as little effort as possible so as to not run out of steam in the second half. Yet in every game this season when we've upped the tempo we've looked a class above our opponents. But it just seems like its done as a last resort to try and claw ourselves when we shouldn't be in that position in the first place.
  5. Just to comment on number 2, Davis is just as bad, if not worse at set pieces as the rest of the team. We desperately need someone who has the ability to even take an average corner or free kick as ours are infuriatingly shite no matter who takes them.
  6. Without pushing the panic button I really think we could do with strengthening all over the park. Defence is leaky and offers nothing going forward (like attacking full-backs), midfield gets over-run, passed off the park every week and has no creativity, and up front we rely on Miller week in week out to make the difference, though hopefully Jelavic will bag a few when he's back.
  7. I assume Walter figured that Davis would play a central role this season and therefore free up the right hand side for Weiss. However its plan B now that Davis is proving to be an empty jersey in the middle of the park and has to be moved back out to the right where he is slightly more effective, as it doesnt damage us quite so much if he goes missing out there. Hence Weiss gets slotted in where/when he can.
  8. Well the fact that he continually gets subbed at half time or doesnt get on the pitch at all suggests that its not just RM members who have reservations about him.
  9. Really? In that case why did Esson dive full length to his right to save a penalty that was right down the middle? The only reason he saved it was sheer blind luck that it somehow hit off him and cleared the bar.
  10. Sometimes I watch him and he seems to have the worst first touch of any player I've ever seen, then he has a moment like Millers first half chance where he controlled and turned in one movement and played a perfect pass through. He seems to suffer from the same affliction as Miller where his better moments are pure instinct and reaction rather than having time to think about what hes going to do.
  11. Fucking dire. Yet another opportunity wasted, when the fuck will we ever learn?
  12. I can...the second half on Tuesday. And sadly its pretty much the same standard every week.
  13. Dont think it was a penalty, looked like his arms were tight against his side to me and the ball was blasted at him. Would need to see it again though. On another note, Weiss can go back to Man City in January as far as I'm concerned, he offers nothing in an attacking sense and constantly leaves his full-back exposed with his lack of tracking back.
  14. Yeah but a player looks at it that they have to earn enough in a relatively short career to fund the lifestyle they're accustomed to for the next 40 years. And its always easy to say 'I'd play for Rangers for 'x' amount' but Millers not a Rangers fan, nor has he ever pretended to be, and if he's being offered double his current salary somewhere else at his age then he's entitled to hold out for the best offer he can get. And anyone who says they wouldn't leave their current employer if they were offered double their salary somewhere else is talking shit.
  15. Have you sent this to Rangers or just posted it on here? Because frankly I dont see the point in the latter. Also I'm unsure of the legality of banning a particular journalist or newspaper from a press conference, can you tell me if its possible to do such a thing and which cases show presidence of this? Finally we may not like what he has to say, but those troops we welcome to Ibrox (and those before them) fought for, amongst other things, the right of freedom of speech. Like it or not Spiers also has this right and specifically focussing on him such as in the original post does nothing more than give him the attention and spotlight he craves, and which is dwindling in his own media and journalistic career.
  16. Yup, looked rusty as hell against Bursaspor after not playing for a fortnight, he could barely get beyond our 18 yard box which is a big problem. Enoughs enough, hes done a fantastic job for us but we shouldnt even be considering having a 41 year old in our team next season.
  17. A great achievement and could potentially score even more in the second half of the season playing alongside Jelavic. Also Boyds best league tally with us was 27 in a season, Millers only 9 behind that now with potentially 24 games still to play. Think Larssons best ever league total with the tinks was 35, this should be well within Millers sights, should he stay of course.
  18. Oh well who really cares, they're a nothing club who never have and never will achieve anything anyway.
  19. He actually reminds me physically of Charlie Adam when he was with us, in that he looks pretty immobile and lacking a yard or two in pace. However he doesnt have anywhere near the passing ability of Adam. Its almost like having Bob Malcolm back in the midfield, just not sure exactly what type of midfielder he is yet? Needs time, games and to be shown patience, though I'm not sure he'll get all that.
  20. Wasn't particularly impressed or disappointed by his performance, just like I havent been by Hutton so far. But these guys are young and inexperienced and its unfair to judge them at this stage. We've all moaned for years about the lack of young players coming through so we just have to be patient and wait to see if they'll be good enough.
  21. That rest seems to have done us a world of good, players look fresh and hungry again. Altogether a very efficient and professional european performance so far, very reminiscent of our UEFA Cup final run. And as for that goal, what a build up and finish, absolutely world class. Had that been Barcelona or Arsenal they'd be waxing lyrical about it for weeks.
  22. Who gives a fuck? And to the OP why do you only ever post on here to beg people to visit that site? Also you posted the exact same thing on Follow Follow, does this game really mean that much to you?!
  23. No bother bud, just the amount of times that people on here called it the EUFA cup when we got to the final was one of those little things that really got on my tits!
  24. You should have tried UEFA instead of EUFA then.
