Maybe he aint trying youth because they aint good enough. With the way we demand success he can't afford to use his untested youths. If he uses a youth at CB and we get slaughtered, so would he for playing said youth. So he uses experience. Not saying I agree with it, just trying to understand it.

I think he did spend it kind of wisely if you look at it from a different point of view. For instance in a few years time Edu may be worth a whole lot more than we paid for him. But we have him on a 5 year contract. And Mendes and Ferguson are both aging. So we have their replacment learning what it is to be a Rangers player before he actually fits into the team. And we get him at a reduced price.

Maybe because they aint good enough??? Just because other youth players are good enough for their respected teams doesn't mean ours are.

I have never personaly met any bear who is ashamed of Rangers past or there traditions. To be honest I don't know where half of the people who start threads like this get it from. some on here want us to move forward as the say and forget our protestant culture and traditions. I don't think anyone wants us to forget mate. Move on certainly, but not forget. We all have to move with the times. We might not like it much. But it has to be done.

I am sure the media might say he had a poor game, but I don;t think they will link it to bigotry. Nor do I think they will link it to him playing poorly because he is playing against Celtic.

I certainly don't hero-worship Boyd, or anyone else for that matter. Like I say he has his bad points but he does exactly what it says on the tin, he scores goals. I believe Boyd will improve his hit rate against bigger teams, but to do that he has to play in those games which is something Walter has not done consistently. Maybe that will begin to change. Getting back to my question, do you want Boyd to be successful for Rangers or would you rather him fail then leave the club ? i wouldrather he fail and leave the club it would be interesting to see how he fared down at preston or back at killie. he could take big lee, fat charlie adam, kirky 'honest player' broadfoot and their gang leader wee barry armband. then perhpas we could get and proper manager and proper players who might produce entertaining, attacking, spl winning football. getting back to your question.. would you rather see rangers win and play good football or do you just love it when the ball frops in the box boydy scores and rescues a point and he ruuns away and does that oh so mean celebration? There is something just not right about that. Which kind of "supporter" wants one of the team to fail??

To be fair I thought Boyd dived too. But Broadfoot was definately a penalty. I thinkit is times like this that ref's should be made to justify their actions and managers should be allowed to say the ref was pish. Instead they get fined for even thinking the ref done poorly.
