walters was another of the magnificent rangers wingers that I have had the privilege to watch and enjoy since the early sixties.I cannot recall any other football club in Britain who have had so many class wingers playing for them in my lifetime!!!
I`ve been following rangers since the early sixties, first keeper I can recall is George niven/billy Ritchie.since then the club has had some tremendous goalies. on the other hand celtic have had some very poor ones in that same period with only simpson and bonnar getting pass marks for them although not in the same class as woods goram klos McGregor etc. how ironic is it that the scum have now at last found a good keeper in craig Gordon after we supervised his rehabilitation and then let him go. pathetic mccoist!!!
good shout judderman! I`ve got hospitality for the raith game on the 18th oct and was going to use the swallow for that weekend.thanks for the info mate...
surely ally will give some of the young guys a run out on Monday night! mackay,Murdoch, gasparato and Gallagher all need to be given a chance at some point in the game and aird and clark have surely deserved a starting place. go on macoist make it happen!!!
what we lack in our side, and have done for a number of years is a proper number 10.a player who can put his foot on the ball and dictate the play from midfield.I realise all the good ones are probably snapped up and out of our budget but there is still the erimencos of the world albeit in the lower leagues in Europe who could do a job for us because until we can get this type of player I fear for our future...
to be fair to temps, even the late great davie cooper couldn`t header a ball but made up for it with his footballing ability.templeton has the ability but needs to concentrate and show some consistency,if so,he could yet be a player for us!!
