Bashing McCoist is just the fashionable thing to do now. I don't think he's a great manager. Far from it. But why WOULD Ally comment on financial matters? His job is to manage the team on the park. Plenty of great managers in world football would have given the same response dealing with what he has. How much he even knows about the deeper financial situation is questionable. McCoist has rightly received criticism for the performances on the pitch. We don't have to knock him for everything he does.

I think our defense looks much better this season with Zaliukas at the back. As much as I like big Mohsni I'd move McGregor into the other centre back slot when Foster is back fit again. McGregor is half decent at right back but when he gets forward....couldn't cross the street. Give him a shot in his natural position.

Great post - admire your optimism, I still say over the course of a season, Hearts / Hivs are going to drop more points than Rangers. In fact, I'm still confident we'll win the league by minimum 10pts, probably more. Don't get me wrong, the football will be pish along the way, but I'll take it.

I'm amazed at how many people have McKay in their teams. He was hardly shit hot when he played last year, and then wasn't good enough for Morton. From what I hear he had a massive attitude problem at Morton by all accounts. Classic example of a player getting better the longer he is left out Bell Foster - Zaliukas - Mohsni - Wallace Black - McLeod Aird - Templeton - Gallagher Miller Get Law to fuck for a few games. I throw Gallagher in only because there's noone else better than Templeton to play in behind the striker. Our lack of creativity frightens me.

Why did we sign Boyd? We know he is going to create nothing for himself, and our service into the strikers is absolutely dreadful. If we continue to play like that Boyd won't score 15 goals.

I'm not Ian Black's biggest fan, but we looked worse when he went off today. Thought Hutton was absolutely dreadful, hiding, and just looks plain clumsy at times.

Zaliukas was my MOTM against Hibs and far from the worst on the pitch today.

Gets right on my tits this. Love him or loathe him, we wouldn't have a club to support without him. I'm not his biggest fan, but singing songs about him, especially on live TV, is nothing short of embarrassing. I respect UB/TBO for the atmosphere they create at Ibrox, but stick to songs about the team. The players see and hear enough about this in newspapers and on television. For 90 minutes a week, let them do their job without thinking about off-field issues. And by the way, this "I'm a better fan than you cos I sing" nonsense is garbage. Sing if you like, you create an atmosphere and that is great, but any season ticket holder in that stadium who remains fairly quiet for whatever reason is every bit as much a fan as you or I.

This may not strictly be for The Bears' Den, but it's probably where it will get max exposure and involves Rangers anyway...mods/admin can move if appropriate. Myself and a few friends decided to raise money for Cancer Research UK. We chose this charity because it is particularly close to Colin, who has lost a family member to the disease. We've decided to do this by driving around all 42 SPL and SFL grounds (over 1000 miles) in three days, taking a picture, and hopefully meeting a club representative at the ground (several have already agreed to this) We are also talking to clubs about them donating memorabilia which we would be able to auction off. However, our first step towards raising money is sponsorships, which we are collecting through the Just Giving website here. Donations only opened this morning, so we're just getting started.
