  1. Alex Keep positive mate. Some people live to find ways of not doing anything. You on the other hand are actively trying to introduce something positive to the club. I have been self Employed and also had my own company. If I listened to everyone telling me it would not work or don't do this or that, I would never had moved my arse off the couch. The people that succeed are the people who actually do it. Some of the negative points are just bourne out of not reading the OP properly. Some points are justified and you may need to convince people about them. I have sent emails to friends in Scotland, England and the United States for you. It is not much but I will do my best to spread the word. Keep going and good luck.
  2. No problem Leeds, the main thing is we are both behind the plan. It needs someone to see it through and I hope the OP gets the fans backing, figurehead and legal team he needs. I truly believe the fans are wanting this and wanting a group we can trust. A group where we know that our money will be used for what it is meant for.
  3. Leeds...... My point is that we can talk numbers for days on end but it means nothing. No-one knows how many will join a movement like this until there is an actual movement to join. The key is therefore to get it started. People are saying, 500k will not happens, it may be 250k max, but who knows?? Let me ask you this........ where does discussing numbers actually get us?
  4. Lets not get caught up in how many people join. The key is getting something started and this idea is excellent. As for the SaveRangers, it is not a great yardstick for numbers at all. Many thought it was a waste of time as it was not a formal contribution. Secondly not every Rangers fan is online. For example I was the only person from my family and friends that registered however I could safely say that around 10 of this same group would contribute to this plan. The main issue is getting something started and this is without doubt the best initiative I have seen. We need to be together and stick together. Anyway....... here's to a full house and victory tomorrow!
  5. Makes you proud! Can he play as a trialist??
  6. A friend of mine lost his job at the SFA because of that joke. When you think what goes on in the world and you lose your job over passing on a joke. Nuts.
  7. Anyone know what the attendence is looking like for tmoro? My comp is playing up and having trouble with official site. cheers.
  8. Alex, well done mate. I for one believe what you have put in writing is spot on the money. A few people have been caught up in the numbers that will join, but that is not the main issue in my view - important of course but not the main issue. The main issue in my mind is that something like this needs to happen and it needs to happen quickly. We can debate forever but until we start to contribute for real, into a real bank account, with real intent then it is all simply talk. Your key point and what needs to be made clear (which you have) is that any contribution stays within a secure and legal trust until the time where it can be used for what it is intended or given back to the donator. People have lost confidence and have no trust. The figurhead idea along with the secure banking of the cash will alleviate most of these fears. I would definitely back this idea fully and become a member. Regarding the numbers and how important they would be. Of course it is important but the number of members is only relevant if there is a vehicle in which they can join. When a trusted vehicle is open people will join whether it is immediately or over time. These memberships will become the norm and most fans will end up being a member, of that I have no doubt. As an example - like myself, the overseas fans will jump at the idea. I have lived in a few seperate countries in the last 10 years, all countries have plenty of bears and I have no doubt these fans will see this as a perfect way of contributing to the club we love. I would love to help you out on a practical level however my current location prohibits this. I wish you the best of luck and I hope that you succeed in getting the support you require.
  9. Hopefully a full house and hopefully our players manage a better performance than Killie. I hope Ally sticks by Perry, Little & Kerkar, they deserve it.
  10. have registered my worst case scenario amount, but definitely hoping to put in more. Have also emailed as many people I know so they are aware it's an option. Also planning on an ST for next year although I live abroad, for use by family and friends.
  11. Get this guy out. He has absolutely nothing to offer us and he has zero cash. He has multiple properties but zero cash. His properties were all purchased via high credit and no money down financing. Amazingly similar to what Whyte has done to us. Get rid. In addition, he was getting brought into Rangers in a Non Exec capacity on 150k per annum. No decision making role at all. His words are bollocks. This shit makes me angry, the quicker this type of scum is gone from our club the better.
  12. I understand that - that is why I said lets look at it from another angle. I also asked who would be the preferred name, if not Cooper. As for me, I loved DC but he was very inconsistant although that tends to be a trait of most wingers....... no doubting his love of Rangers however. As for who else, I would struggle to pick any one player out, hence my point about not naming the place after one person. The sponsorship thing was simply an additional point to consider. CM, you are a grumpy shit eh??
  13. Lets look at it from another angle..... who would we name the training ground after? Do we really need to name it after a player ar all? Or should we just name it after Rangers in some way... Rangers Park or just the name of the area, Auchinhowie? Last option I can think of........ could we gain income by getting a sponsor ...... ???????? Park etc? God knows we could do with the money!
  14. I love this idea and I would definitely participate. I live overseas and it is a great way to contribute to the club we love. Saying that, I will be purchasing a season ticket next year to help out and will give it to my dad......... dependent on Rangers actually receiving ST monies of course! Regarding the organisational side of this, I am sure talks can be held with a German club where we can base our setup on their system. No doubt we will have admin/finance staff made redundant, maybe they could retrain in this field within the German club in order to launch it within our??
  15. Disgusting. This should be removed. Agreed - done by nvager
  16. I cannot remember the last time I wanted to go to a game so much - unfortunately I am living on the other side of the world. It is great reading all this support and I believe the atmosphere will be tremendous at Ibrox this weekend. These are very tough times but we will get through it. These tough times just remind us how important THE RANGERS are in our lives. Enjoy the game at the weekend and make all supporters worldwide really proud...... and envious!! We are everywhere C'Mon the Gers!!
  17. Sorry if this has been asked before as I haven't read the full thread.............. Why did HMRC wait so long? What were they gaining by not trying to force us into administration last week or before?? Am I missing something obvious?
  18. That's tremendous!!! Bust my ass to get home to watch it and sh!t myself when it wasn't on RTV......... anyway, back on the drink!! If I ask the same question tmoro it's been a good night!!
  19. Hi guys........ need your help!!!! I planned to watch the game on RTV but ain't on............... I cannot get BBC where I am............ any links I can watch the game??
  20. "fucking disgrace of a footballer" That is a pathetic comment Nicika. Lets analyse the rest of your rubbish.......... 1) If you say he is a has been, are you admitting that he was once something? If so, you are contradicting yourself by saying he is a disgrace. 2) Only scores against shit opposition. I am sure Motherwell were third when we played them, that means by your argument he is good enough to score against 90% of the SPL - that would do me nicely! 3) Naismith and Kerkar - sure, I am not against giving Naismith a chance and Kerkar a start to see how he does. However, do you honestly believe Kerkar will score more goals than Healy??
