Better players than Aribo have went missing in their first Old Firm game. This fixture tends to get the better of players due to the speed and intensity of it. It seems like Aribo was played out of his normal position which wouldn’t have helped either.

Historically once you go 7 points behind in the league it’s very difficult to pull it back. 3 points may not seem like a lot but this Rangers team can’t afford to slip up now. Even a draw in the next couple of fixtures and things will start to get away from us. To win the league you need to win consistently and that’s what needs to happen now.

Today will be a real confidence booster for them. They do seem to be better at breaking teams down that we are. Can’t see them dropping many points in the league even if they aren’t as good defensively as in previous seasons. Against Kilmarnock, St.Mirren and again today, we struggle to break teams down. We really need a creative player who can make things happen.

Doesn’t seem to give everything. When cutting in from the left he’s really predictable and always tries to shoot at that far corner. Don’t think he’ll play with the same intensity and grit Kent did.

We could certainly use a bit more creativity from the midfield.

I thought Gerrard got it wrong TBH. Took a winning side and changed it too much. Ojo or Jones should've started like they always do. We should've had one natural wide player on the pitch. No service to the front men at all.

Gerrard didn’t identify Arfield and McGregor initially. Mark Allan identified both those players and began the process of making them Rangers players. Did Gerrard give it the okay when it was all but done? Sure, just as Pedro would have approved the Morelos move. Truth is, If Morelos turned out to be a dud you’d be on here right now blaming Pedro. You’re now unwilling to credit Walter Smith with the signing of Cuellar because Smith didn’t personally identify him. This is an extreme position your taking just because you hate Pedro. You could go through every signing a manager has ever made and ask ‘did he identify the player or was it a scout’. I don’t see the point in it. Personally, I think any player brought in to the club is a signing of whatever manager is in charge at that time. You’re welcome to disagree.

I was always against McInnes getting the job. If you dig up the old threads linking us with him you’ll see that. In my opinion, if a player brought in while a manager is in charge of the club that is his signing. I don’t care if scouts, the assistant manager, or DoF suggest it, it’s the manager who has final say. Morelos was a Pedro signing. Just as Cuellar was a Smith signing despite bomber identifying him. Mark Allan had McGregor and Arfield all but in the door before Gerrard came on board so you won’t credit our current manager for those signings? Allan said Katic was evidence of our scouting system working so Gerrard should get no credit for him either? It’s a nonsense.

McCoist was worse. I don’t think he brought one good player here, tactically clueless, couldn’t win the Petrofac Cup or get us promoted from the Championship. Demanding full pay for a year rather than just walking away was the last straw. The worst manager in Rangers history IMO.

Bomber found Cuellar so Walter Smith should get no credit for that signing either. Maybe we should go threw the history of all managers signings and find out who they actually identified personally so we don’t wrongly give them any credit. But in all seriousness, Morelos was a Pedro signing like it or not that’s the case.

Can the seats used to segregate the away fans not be included in the 3000? I know that might be exploiting a loophole, but still. As long as 3000 seats are empty then the club will have complied with the punishment.

Of the 42 clubs across all divisions of the SPFL only 3 voted in favour of strict liability. There is no strict liability in Scottish football. The clubs can’t be held accountable for the actions of the fans. In Europe it’s completely different.

Ojo will play the vast majority of games on the RW anyway. If Hastie has another year to develop he can return next season and fight for a place after Ojo leaves.

The occasion might get the better of Ojo and the game will just pass him by. Jones and Arfield have experience playing against celtic, they’ve scored goals against them, I’d start with those two. Hopefully Morelos finally gets a goal against them.

Someone on twitter said Morelos is now joint second along with Albertz as our all time top scorer in European competition.

If he keeps scoring at this rate he could finish the season with 40+ goals.
