  1. He is eligible, link below to Europa League regulations and the relevant paragraph. https://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Download/Regulations/uefaorg/Regulations/02/55/82/82/2558282_DOWNLOAD.pdf 41.06 As a rule, a player may not play in the UEFA Champions League and/or UEFA Europa League, for more than one club in the course of the same season. Exceptionally, however, a player who has been fielded in the first, second, third qualifying round or the play-offs of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League is entitled to play in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League for another club as from the group stage. Moreover, as from the start of the round of 32, a player can be registered in accordance with Paragraph 43.01 to Paragraph 43.03. A substitute player who has not been fielded is entitled to play for another club competing in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League in the course of the same season, provided that he is registered with the UEFA administration in accordance with the present regulations.
  2. The picture on the top right has a Rangers team photo in it.
  3. Alot of that is because he is nearly always looking for a forward pass to break through the opposition lines and if it isnt on he will keep the ball and try and open up an angle to make the pass he wants, rather than just give a square ball. I thought he was excellent tonight his best performance by a mile so far, it looks like his confidence has returned now after the bad experience at Sunderland for half of last season.
  4. If you want the exact same from Kent as you get from Middleton then you just play Kent on the right hand side as he is predominantly right footed and he can run to the byline and put crosses in, with him playing on the left he wants to cut inside and play on his stronger foot that can be an advantage at times as it creates space out wide but when you have a right footed left back like Flanno you don't see the benefit of it.
  5. A technically excellent footballer who is so comfortable on the ball, needs to add more end product to his game in terms of assists and goals, thats the big challenge for him. He has worked his balls off so far tonight helping the team out defending.
  6. I really don't understand the continual attempts to push one set formation, Stevie G has already said we will change formation as and when he thinks its necessary. As for playing them, you go for their fucking throats, their weakness is at the back but teams never go at them and test them.
  7. No, its down to each club/managers own preference some clubs have manager and player together, some have the player in first and as soon as he has finished the manager follows him. Some managers prefer doing the press conference with the players so they can step in if they don't like a question.
  8. It is a UEFA requirement for European games that both a player and the manager are made available for a press conference.
  9. I'm far from his biggest fan but he worked his balls off for the team today, up and down the line all day, he was punctured at the end with the amount of work he got through, i totally agree about him being a greedy little shit though. Its surprising me how Jamie Murphy is getting away virtualy unnoticed with that performance today, IMO he was the worst player on the pitch, he missed a great chance, constantly made the wrong decisions when on the ball, his passing was poor and his set pieces were terible.
  10. I have a very good idea what this SPFL stuff is about, they will no doubt start campaigning for SPFL rules to be changed so that clubs have to guarantee a minimum percentage of their stadium for away fans like it is in the EPL were clubs have to set aside either 3,000 seats or 10% of their stadium whichever is lowest for away supporters.
  11. Kent poor.... did you watch the work he got through all night and how much tracking back he did throughout the game backing Flanno up the whole night, he put in a great shift, yes he could have have maybe done more on the ball but this is his first 90 minutes in months he has known his new team mates for a few days, i won't be making any final judgements on any of the new players until we are a few months into the season.
  12. I totally agree but as i said when he was signed having watched him for years at Liverpool he is not capable of being that type of player. It is hard to get a player that would want to come to Scotland that can do both sides of the game to a decent level, with Tav we have a full back who is good going forward but poor defensively. I believe that is why Flanno is playing on the left side so that he can sit and that leaves us 3 defenders plus the DM and allows Tav to go forward all game where his attacking play can create chances and create overloads against the opposition left back.
  13. If you ever see him going past the half way line you would understand why he is awful going forward as his passing is poor, i am quite glad to see that he has realised his limitations and isn't going over the half way line nowadays, also when he goes forward he has no pace to get back so he is better playing as a purely defensive fullback.
  14. The wee man put in some shift tonight, the standard has been set.
  15. And thats the important part, its highly unlikely Gerrard will be able to get rid of all the shite in one window, its going to take a few windows to get the squad he wants, we as supporters need to recognise that there will probably be players left in the squad when the windows shuts that we don't want at the club and that just because they are still there doesn't necessarily mean Gerrard wants them there either.
  16. I didn't want him when we signed him in January and he did nothing to change my mind in his time at the club, we need to be aiming higher.
  17. As i said at the time the rumours came out about Beale, he is the real star appointment of that backroom team, a very highly rated coach, who the kids at Liverpool have nothing but praise for. It will be interesting to see how he deal with coaching men rather than young players.
  18. I would bet that Michael Beale had alot to do with this transfer, he loves this kid, he took him to Liverpool from Arsenal and does nothing but sing his praises to anyone that will listen. Fingers crossed it works out, he has lots of technical ability but i have my doubts about him dealing with the physicality of Scottish football.
  19. Yes, the ones who managed to escape being thrown under the bus by him to save his own ass like he did with Colin Pascoe and Mike Marsh.
  20. Thankfully after today he is not our problem anymore, best of luck to him back at Norwich he's going to need it.
  21. Rhian is out of contract at Liverpool at the end of the season, the club are hopeful he will sign a pro deal soon, after that he might very well be available for loan. If we can get Rhian that would be brilliant, but i would be more interested in getting Harry Wilson, he would tear it up in the SPL, he will be with the Liverpool first team in pre-season and Klopp will decide from that point whether he will be staying as part of the first team squad or available for loan.
  22. Wow...... this is an outstanding piece of business to get Michael to come to Rangers, Beale is an outstanding coach with a great eye for young talent, he was behind numerous youth players coming to Liverpool, the most well know being Rhian Brewster, if you talk to any of the young players at Liverpool they will all name check Michael as being hugely influential in their development.
  23. They wouldn't notice they have spent most of the season shitting themselves.
