  1. excelent post mate, couldn't have put it any better.
  2. Most Irish people I've met are really decent folk, it's the west of Scotland "IRISH?" who are the problem, and they'd also be a problem over there.
  3. Mentioned Andy on here a couple of months ago, first Rangers player I recall who could bend a free kick, and as I said then, we played with medicine balls back in the day. good player though not a great.
  4. If rough is an arsehole does'nt that mean he talks shite? if he's a fanny he'd talk pish.................sorry pedantics.
  5. Now he says it was his decision to sell Boyd but we won't be selling Ferguson, McGreggor or Bougherra to Newcastle. So let me get this straight, he tries to get rid of our top goalscorrer, tells anyone who'll listen that everyone is up for sale but by the way that does'nt include Ferguson, McGreggor or Bougherra, is it just me who's got a sore head?.
  6. Does he really think our heads are all buttoned up the back? just stop fuckin' lying to us.
  7. Agreed mate, whatever else may be said against Walter he is his own man I have no doubt about that.
  8. I thought for years that the reserves should be scrapped and that we should have a second team playing in the lower divisions and if they were good enough they would move up a league. I realise it was against the rules to have no more than one team playing in the leagues, but I thought it would be a good idea to give it a try, obviously only Rangers and Them could have afforded to do this but it would have done away with the question of whether the youngsters could handle themselves or not, and if they could it would be a simple case of transferring them up into the first team. No chance of it ever happening I know, but it was just a thought. OK OK I'm off to bed.
  9. If you think the moaning about Boyd is bad just now I can't imagine what it would be like if he did leave. No one in the present squad could come close to matching his strike rate, even against the"diddy" teams
  10. Cheers mate need to set the alarm early again I suppose, oh well no rest for the wicked.
  11. Hmm........ conspiricy theory #999. is this our way into the premiership, Newcstle buy all our players and hey BINGO were in the big boys playground
  12. I know I'm going to get shit for this but just recently I'm thinking that CH is not the top priority at the moment that everyone thinks it is, don't get me wrong I do understand that we need to strengthen there, but we still do have the best defensive record in the SPL what concerns me more ATM is the fact that we are to one dimentional, we don't have the ability to get round the back of the opposition to feed the srikers, so IMO we need either a RW or LW more than defenders, we could ride out the rest of the season with the defence we have so long as Boogie dos'nt get sold and strengthen there in the summer
  13. What another load of pish from Walter, if they are not good enough why the fuck were they bought in the first place, and the pish about being to young and the expectations placed on young players, ask Ferguson, Wenger,Moyes even MON for christ sake or almost any Epl,Spanish,Italian, etc. manager about that quote and they would laugh at you. And Davie Wier would be well advised to shut up as well, the above named managers have proven that if your good enough your old enough, end of.
  14. Living on the other side of the pond I can only comment on my own son, born in '89 we left Glasgow in '95 when he was only 5, money constraints meant we have only been back about 4 or 5 times but a bigger bluenose you could never wish to meet, and will be till he dies. Love ya son.
  15. Edu is not a hard tackler, infact not many yanks are, believe it or not tackling is frowned upon among youth football [soccer] in the States so it's not bred into them, they much prefer reading the game and making interceptions, I think that may be the reason that Edu hasn't put in many apperances, and Walter and staff would have known that if they had watched him.
  16. Why are you wearing a Walter Smith mask Gordon
  17. I don't see how anyone could complain about you talking to him in an unofficial capacity, it's still a free country after all, and no one can tell you what you can and cannot do. If any supporter wishes to have a discussion with him I believe more members on here than not, would prefer not to give him any platform on which he can pour out any more of his bile towards the Rangers support and justfy [in his eyes] a reason for his one sided arguments, and that IMO was soley the reason why so many posters on here tried to advise BB and his friends not to take part in that programme. I for one do not find any satisfaction in being [iMO] proven correct over the way we were portrayed, and take offence at being called into question for airing my views, especially when I respect the right of others who thought it was a good idea to take part in a discussion with him on radio.
  18. If thats the choice I pick Walter
  19. HaHa!! for the life of me I couldn't remember his name [mental block I think] you are the winner sir. :beer2:
  20. How could you say that about my hero you bassa Ted was a delight to watch especially when he put his feet in the wrong boots allways good for a laugh,& brilliant entertainment.
  21. Hindsight being a wonderful thing, if you remember 9iar we were so far ahead of them during the 90's and had tons of money yet somehow they were allowed to claw their way back, part of the reason IMO was during 9&10th. seasons Walter stuck by players who were getting on and maybe should have been replaced with others, Barry springs to mind, and left Tricky Dicky to start the clearout. Jump forward 10yrs. and still he persists in being loyal to players who cannot perform to the standards expected at Rangers, the same mistakes are being repeated, I suppose it's true what they say about the lepoard and it's spots. Thanks for the memories Walter but unfortunaly it's time to go.
