Yes I believe Morelos is being subjected to discrimination. For me the hatred is because he stands for something successful for Rangers. His success means money and that the club is starting to recover from the financial breakdown. but targeting our top of the table striker will cost the club with bad PR, player reputation and player value and the PLC will lose money. Thing is, Scottish football and the media are messing with the guys career to have a go at Rangers. I think the hatred towards Rangers is because Scottish football and the media feel the club wasn't punished enough.I honestly believe that Scottish football and the media don't want to see a successful Rangers .

I can't argue with what Gerrard has said. I'm glad he hasn't spoke to the players yet, as anger can make a person not see the whole picture. Whatever is going on with the players needs to be sorted asap, fans pay to see a professional team play and that performance wasn't good enough. The inconsistencies from the ref didn't help either we've loss so many points this season due to refs mistakes.

I don't see how giving clubs the power to apply for banning orders would work fairly to solve this problem for ALL clubs. Rangers won't be able to escape punishment if they don't use this new banning order as the SFA/SPFL will say practicable steps were not taken to prevent unacceptable conduct. It's forcing the club to alienate the singing section of the fan base or face punishments. Imho, the way forward is for the club to set up a youth council and converse with the singing section of the support. I could also see with what has been suggested by the SFA/SPFL being manipulated by other clubs so that our club lose points leaving it impossible to get ahead for seasons to come.

I get what your saying, but imo it's the SPFL's competition so the buck stops with them. They make the rules on safety for clubs to follow, they say what is unacceptable fan behaviour and they punish the clubs. There are two jurisdictions trying to police matches. If strict liability is to come in for clubs then the SPFL who run the competition should also be in the equation as there are inconsistencies within their safety rules when applying them. Imho, the Hibs pitch invasion police report stated the stadium was advised to provide more cover for that game but the stadium ignored their advice because the SPFL competition safety rules stated they didn't need the % the police advised they would need. The SPFL's competition rules were broken when the Hibs fans invaded the pitch and assaulted our players. The police then had to get reinforcements without taking officers off their posts outside the stadium. This is the fault of the SPFL because their safety rules for the competition are flawed. The SPFL then covered up their mistake by putting it down to "over exuberance", even SMP were tweeting it was "over exuberance". The incident the other night with Tav, the steward failed to apply the SPFL safety rules, only when Tav was being shoved about did the jurisdiction changed allowing the police to arrest the guy and cart him off.

Just my observation. The team don't work together in the final 3rd, they become leaderless and it happens frequently. I think the message needs drilling in to them to stick to the plan. Conventional methods don't seem to be working, so maybe transferring the captain's badge for the final 3rd will refresh the managers message.

I don't see it like that. It's the SPFL's competition and therefore they are ultimately responsible for the safety of players managers and fans. This sort of behaviour should have been stomped on when Hibs fans invaded the pitch in Scottish cup final 2016, which led to the assault Rangers players. By allowing claims of "exuberance" they covered up their failings to ensure safety bringing their competition into disrepute by not protecting players and managers in their competition. The SFA may not do anything but there should be a vote of no confidence in the board who run the SPFL competition for their failings..

I agree, it needs to stop, I blame it on institutional failure of the SPFL who have bought the competition into disrepute, by not protecting players and managers in their competition. Maybe the SFA should have an enquiry into the SPFL's failings.

I get what you're saying but seriously who hires them? Do they have an agency that supply propagandists reporters? Imho, a free press is a fundamental part of democracy. but when false or distorted information is wrapped up in hatred and inflammatory articles it is done intentionally to destroy the reputation of an individual or an organisation. When this happens the media degenerates into a propaganda weapon with journalists who prefer to garner headlines by inciting hatred by shaping and manipulating their readers perceptions. When a journalist reaches this point they have abandoned their obligations under established standards of professional journalism that govern accurate reporting. and the media becomes the root cause of discrimination, hostility and, bigotry.

Who hires these people who cause division? Why aren't politicians challenging them in the same way this professor did?

I hope Jack is ok and it's not too serious, was his injury caused by Aberdeens pitch being torn up? I remember Gerrard complaining about their pitch.

Take it Aberdeen have not apologised to Morelos yet. Think that will be another incident for Traynors dossier on Rangers being treated differently.

Interesting point of view, if that is the case most papers have a political leaning, so who are the politicians pushing this agenda? If this doesn't stop I can see Scotland being split like Ireland and Northern Ireland in the future.

Good Post Rangers are using the rules to play them at their own game. I do think Rangers need to contact Digital, cultural, sports and media at Westminster for advice and to gather some political support.

Daily Record put it down as "teasing" The Scotsman put it down to "tipping his temperament" No apology from Aberdeen yet.

I like the guy, I just think he's lost his confidence after that bad injury. He was in the paper the other day saying he can't play on plasic pitches because of it. Reminds me of Templeton and the way he couldn't play on plastic pitches after his injury.

I don't see it that way, I see the board using the rules, so that club does't get a punishment. Article 28 of the SFA’s handbook notes that clubs can be held liable for the behaviour of their fans, however, liability is not strict. Other clubs are pushing for strict liability on the back of the steve clark stuff. So I expect they'll have these statements before every match so they cover the clubs ass by following the strict liability rules used by the Union of European Football Association as a guideline.
