When we pumped them 3 games ago. Aluko scored a cracker of a FK at Tynecastle.
They've been lucky the past two games against us to be fair. Hardly convincing wins. We need to take positives from that.
Although I do think they've improved hugely since last November.

Probably due to 3 years of the worst training known to sport.

Well Mr McCall, you've now seen the shit we have.
The solution is simple - drop all of these so called footballers and play the youth players.
This season has gone, so give these youngsters some real game time to prepare them for next season.
Edit, Thanks McCoist, for leaving us with a truly shit football team you money grabbing fucker.

Thing that frosts my bollix is the total lack of pride in wearing that jersey that so many on our squad seem to have. These clowns need to be put on subsistance wages ASAP - if they're fighting to put breid on the table, maybe some sort of effort would return. Kills me that every single person on this forum would probably crawl through broken glass to play for this team if we had the chance and/or talent to do so (edit: there's no doubt a lot on this forum that have way more talent than what we're currently seeing from these wasters, so those that do - go talk to McCall pronto!). 56 years old and I've seen some dross play in my time, but I never, ever thought I'd see this sort of nonsense at our football club.

When the shit hits the fan somebody's got to stay behind and pay. Well the football shit is hitting the fans big time. Game after game after game. But who has stayed behind and been made to pay?
Not McCoist - who is the architect of this chaotic mess of a Rangers team. How is it that he remains on gardening leave and about to pick up yet another months pay of around £60k? How is that possible Mr King and Mr Murray? What sort of laughing stock do you want the Support to have become? A team playing like shit on a basis that is so consistent that they have taken 'crap' to low levels never imagined possible. Yet laughing all the way to their expensive cars with their fat pay cheques. And led by mirth-in-chief, leader of the football spivs McCoist. Just how much of a laughing stock is a Board prepared to allow Rangers to become? Oh and before the 'give them time' messages arrive I don't buy into because the Board has been agitating in waiting for months and months and had plenty of time to figure out what immediate changes they would make to improve things - and they didn't even start until the QOS game. So I'm not buying into a give them time argument.
The players? Have they been fined? Have they volunteered to repay money because of their consistent massive underperformance? Nope. The repayment they get is being booed off the park game after game and taunted during the games. They can't handle the pressure of being at Rangers in these times but they sure as fuck can handle the big pay cheques that reward them week in and week out for being the worst Rangers team ever.
No. Its not McCoist or the players who are staying behind and being made to pay. Its the Support. As if all of the stuff we've had to endure from the SPL, SFA, wretched greed from Boards over the last 3 years the biggest insult, the biggest slap the face to Supporter loyalty is coming from the Rangers squad itself. Seems to me the level of unacceptable performance has become collectively wilful with experienced players leading the way on this.
Can it get worse? Yes. Big defeats by Hearts and Hibs beckon if Rangers play like this. And not even getting a play off play place is a prospect - simply because form has imploded. And the new interim Manager is not showing signs of being able to reverse it because we cannot even win at home against the lowest teams in the league.
The rebuilding needed is massive. Quite massive. And it may take some time. And McCoist still coins it in. And the Board already starts to look helpless to deal with it. Its been a long way down and the bottom may not yet be in sight,

Easy to say isn't it. Scoring goals produces confidence. Not conceding goals produces confidence. Creating goal scoring chances creates confidence. Winning the ball back quickly and using it intelligently produces confidence. And the confidence of winning a game produces confidence to go and win the next and the next. Sounds simple enough doesn't it.
With the talent and experience in the squad achieving the sort of winning run needed for the rest of this season is entirely possible. If only the players themselves believe in it.

One thing is for sure - absolute sure - McD does not have what it takes to lift the team to play off winning capability. And he has made it clear enough that he has no appetite for the job. The benefit of promotion is big - even if we have to build from a low base at least we'd be in the top league looking to get competitive in it rather than finding a way to fight out of the Championship for the next few seasons. Top flight games would also make it more attractive for players to join us and give the new manager an added incentive as the prospect of European games does not really exist in life in the Championship.
So a reasonably low cost time-limited option of bringing in an experienced manager to see if this team can be transformed would - to my mind - be something a Board should be looking at. Have they asked Walter S? Maybe his previous comments were influenced by the antics of previous Boards. Events have moved on and maybe views of managing have moved on? Felix M might also be credible - what is there to lose in appointing him on an interim basis that is not already being lost on a more imploding catastrophic basis by McD? Ditto appointing Stuart McC. If money is still an insurmountable barrier to this then maybe King and Murray need to be having a word with McC about him suspending or reducing the amount he is taking from Rangers whilst contributing the square root of fuck all to us getting promotion.
In any other time in our history and in what might pass for normal circumstances there is absolutely no way I could conceive of any Board simply letting McD carry on leading an implosion of form and the continuance of a string of results that push Rangers well below the levels of mediocrity towards territory where our relevance a football force is fundamentally undermined. Its time to act.

Well, as far as I'm concerned its yet more proof - as if any more proof was needed - that this squad and the current manager / coaching staff simply do not have what it takes to win important games. The failure is consistent and progressive and getting worse game after game after game. As matter stand the prospect of promotion this season is so far from being a possibility never mind a probability as to be hardly worth considering. It is about next season now. And its been about next season now since before McCoist showed us all that he does indeed to walking away after all (so long as his saddlebags are full of our dosh as a reward for his spectacular failure).
A failing team of expensive misfits who kid themselves and have kidded us into thinking they have the pride, desire, stomach and capability to win promotion. Led be a nightwatchman manager who'd rather be anywhere than the dugout at Ibrox, and presided over by a Board which is utterly incompetent and lacking in the sort of leadership required at Rangers. They are making a mockery of Rangers. And they are making a mockery of the Support.
The team is shot to bits - not capable of performing as they should and not capable of winning promotion. In fact right now I have real doubts as to whether they could even retain a place in the play offs. They really could go into freefall such is the lack of self belief and lack of effective leadership. A more shocking expensive set of failures in Rangers long history would be hard to find. This is arguably the worst Rangers team in history led by the worst Rangers manager in history and presided over by the worst set of Directors who ever laid claim to be stewards of Rangers. If DL survives as a Director - and I don't think he should as he has not shown anywhere enough positive leadership - then he'd better be planning for some very big cuts because attendances at Ibrox next season for another year or few years of rebuilding in the Championship may see very much lower crowds. At this rate of knots we are reversing ourselves quicktime into the realms of being irrelevant in Scottish football. And with it years of wilderness and years of free titles for the other lot.

I suppose its plausible that DL and the Board could deny that they pick the team - which is not the same as saying that if they do not play and are not injured then McD would be presenting himself to DL after each game to explain himself.
The type of meeting where a manager is left in no doubt about his failing to embrace a need for change, a need to reinvigorate the side, a need for winning results each and every game to the end of the season, a need to instil a brand of attacking football that encourages the Support, a need to eradicate the all to often defensive calamities, and a need to see visible and effective leadership of the team before each game and during each game.
Now imo that's a one way conversation these days (and it ain't McD to DL - its DL on transmit as CEO to McD). Just how long McD could take that sort of intensive executive pressure is anyone's guess. But for a guy who claimed to be at the end of his tether I guess it won't be long. It's deliver or be held accountable initially to the CEO / Board and ultimately to the Support and shareholders.
So DL may not exactly 'pick' the side - but he sure as hell can make life very very difficult for McD if they are not picked. Managers are paid to take the pressure, including pressure from a CEO and Board. In Rangers' case the managers are so well paid as to be nearly beyond comprehension. So handle it or get out and get out honourably ie with immediate effect and waiving all right to any contractual payment on the basis of being an instrumental part in the collective massive failure this season to deliver anywhere near to acceptable standards to the extent that half a team has to be imported to try to make amends for the failures.
It would be an easier life to pick them wouldn't it?

This influx of 5 players is going to be good. At one level its a right old wet fish smack in the chops for most if not all of the squad that was there up til last night. A message of 'collectively you have demonstrated time and again you are not good enough to win important games and you are turning up fat, dumb and happy. Taking the wages and not delivering. Letting the Club down and most of all letting the Support down'.
So influx of 5 and I guess an unstated message to McD via DL to make sure they are played and more than that that they are played in their positions and given free rein to show what they can do. And for those who are benched - sit and fucking well watch because you put yourselves on the bench. You had a chance - plenty of chances - and you've let us down.
Influx of 5. What a statement that is about the crippled state of play at Rangers. McCoist should be ashamed of himself as this starts from the managerial top and he had the reins for a long time and failed to deliver team of match winning performers in the very league where it matters most. Took the money - still taking the money - concentrated far too much on being the laughing lad and not enough on sorting out how to lead a team to win the big important games and to dominate the lesser teams with class and style of play that kept the Support attending Ibrox.
What McD will make of this is anyones guess. A guy at the end of his tether - resigned - no motivation - under the cosh of the media, the Support and under the cosh of Ashley via DL. If he doesn't play them he'll get lambasted. If he does play them and they do well those benched will be criticised even more for their failure to deliver. If they play and we still don't win promotion McD and McC will be blamed as they allowed things to decline too far and too fast so that even an influx of 5 could not turn it round.
Interesting days ahead at the business end of the season.

A ridiculous outcome. There is no credibility left for Ally or for the Board. Thye've used it all up. Running (staggering more like) on empty as far as trust goes. Just incredible.
They appear to think they are beyond or above Rangers. That somehow Rangers is their plaything and the Support merely incidental to the scenes they wish to play out week in and week out at our Club. It appears high-handed and utterly dismissive of the Support. It's not good enough and I simply cannot believe they do not know this. Which makes it all the more ridiculous.
I support Rangers so I will be at Ibrox on Saturday. I'm not there to support a greedy Manager who has failed in my book, and who has lost all honour. i'm not there to support a Board which lacks credible and effective leadership. I'm there to support Rangers. If the team plays badly as it has done all too often this season I will still suppor them. And if they play well and win then the that would be good. Why am I doing that? Well I've stood at Ibrox decades ago in very thin crowds and watched some poor games. I'd hoped never to see that again but here we are. Bottom line is - its about Rangers and I while I'm very angry and even more concerned about how all of this will end for Rangers I still want to support my team. If people read that as supporting McCoist or the Board then read away but they'd be wrong.
The only other thing I can think of that might have framed the way this has had to be handled by the Board is that Ashley and the Board are resigned to the increasing probability of another year in the Championship - McCoist and the team would be blamed and the clearout starts at the end of the season and all planning / cuts and so forth are aimed at positioning the club for another season and build from there. Or perhaps worse Ashley has seen the writing on the wall and intends to vacate the scene, recover what he can of his loans and leave the mess for someone else to fix.

Looking at the number of seats still not taken this looks like it could be a very very low attendance. Team selection? The usual selection that the Manager puts out for starters who will as usual do nothing and then the usual subs will come on and we might or might not score a goal. Can't see the defence not conceding. A reaction from last weeks result and the alleged sense of determination to put things right according to the Captain should be enough to produce a win. But ................
