Club1872 had intimated an interest in this to D'Art earlier tonight - so I've sent them an email outlining everything that's happened with copies of the letters attached.
I don't want to copy and paste the exact content of my email as it contains a little bit of sensitive court case information that I had to add in for background that I'm not comfortable with a public forum accessing - hope you's understand.
Any developments or progress I will let everyone know.

That's the problem when you start to act more like a company than a club. Companies are normally pretty shit in communicating with people in my experience.  Mostly because they don't actually care about you.
Anyway, over to the board to communicate with their head of security and get this dealt with more reasonably.

The club issued a statement after the match saying that they understood the fans actions and they only acted under severe provocation and in an attempt to protect fans and players.
 
They are now banning two people for doing exactly that.  Hypocrisy of the highest order.

Then why did the Club Statement in the aftermath defend those who encroached on the pitch ?

Disagree. They could have done it differently and protected that part of the image whilst behaving more reasonably. Something akin to what RFC52 mentioned in some earlier post somewhere. They should have shown that they wouldn't tolerate violence whilst being more reasonable. I think the Board have some smart guys on it. I think they could have achieved that if they'd thought about it. Unless they're doing this for some other reason and they had thought about it, but decided to go down this route anyway. But if so the realpolitik stuff doesn't cut it for me when it comes to dealing with individuals fairly. The kind of sacrificial lambs mentioned above aren't great for the club's image either.

Then give all those banned a full refund. 
As for the bad publicity  really the board don't seem to bother their arse with any other bad publicity. 

Mmm. In fairness, for all the Hibs letter seems more appropriate, it's not really a fair comparison, because we don't know the two stories of the two supporters involved, specifically whether the Hibs supporter is at court or not, whether he's pled guilty to anything or not and that kind of stuff. Not mentioning 'ban' (or similar) and using the term 'on hold' could be important, but it depends whether there's a reason for them doing that (there probably is a reason they've used that phrase rather than the kind of language Rangers have used). Their tack does appear to be a reasonable one though, or at least that they're trying to be reasonable, or seen to be as such. Rangers haven't, which in itself seems to show more disdain. Certainly some seem to have that impression, which itself makes it a mistake on Rangers' part. I still have the point of view that Rangers' approach isn't reasonable and their choice of actions isn't right. The whole thing's been handled in a pretty ill-considered 'computer says no' way, which Hibs look like they might have avoided. They've at least tried to maintain appearances. 
As for elsewhere... don't know about that. I only know my little RM world nowadays. Does anyone else even know about it and would they be upset if they did? Dunno.

It's different because if your interpritation is correct Hibs have suspended their season ticket until they can help them with their enquiries ... Rangers have prejudiced their own supporters court cases, took their season tickets off them without compensation for - in their own words - ALLEGED criminal activity and banned people indefinately before they even go to trial and get found guilty. Please stop making me repeat this shit mate.

Well done Rangers.....You have just banned a guy who has arguably put more time,money, effort and commitment into the Rangers cause than some of those fucking 'hangers on' that sit in the Directors Box every match day, without him being able to give his side of the story before he even goes to court.
To say I am absolutely disgusted by the way our Club have handled this situation (although not entirely surprised) would be an understatement.For those who have never met or had dealings with K.A.I. yet are sticking the knife into him without knowing all the facts of what happened that day, I hope to fuck that same fate never befalls you in life if you are found guilty of something without being able to defend your actions before being sentenced.
Yes he allegedly did something "illegal", but at least he didn't sit back and watch fellow supporters get goaded and assaulted by a bunch of scum

Nope nothing explains or justifies people running onto a park and attacking, spitting upon and verbally abusing players and staff from the opposition.
I find it odd that we can trot out that Hibs fans invaded the park due to being so ecstatic after wining the cup given the time period.  Ive been ecstatic a lot of times at football matches but never has such joyous ecstacy caused me to run the length of the pitch to the opposition end and challenge their fans to fight.

Absolutely shite move from the club.  Can understand the uproar now after seeing these two letters.  Hibs basically wanting a wee chit chat and probably offering up an alibi whereas Bears are being banned without refund without any sort of discourse.  Utterly pathetic and weak stance to take.
Hope you can get this sorted and overturned mate.

They got on the pitch and proceeded to attack our players and run right towards our support. It's not like they got on and stayed around their own to celebrate.
Teams in every league break records and end years without trophies all the time and don't fucking do the shite they did. 

It is only not surprising because there was an inadequate police/stewards presence at their end. If they had done their jobs, this would not have happened.

As I mentioned before this is a serious thread, the outcome of these issues will almost significantly affect our club and fans, and unfortunately I expect as much blame as possible will be deflected on both. 
Rather than off hand comments, and needless abuse and/or point-scoring in here, would be better to stick to the real facts of what happened and concentrate on the real root causes of the trouble, (which in my opinion were the organisers, the police, and of course the Hibs fans who came on and caused/incited trouble, and unfortunately a few of our own fans have probably compromised themselves by running on too, albeit in mitigating circumstances.) And it seems our club may have acted prematurely by issuing punishments before proof, unless they have more information and advice than we know.
Any lurkers will easily be seen off by a more mature discussion of the events and potential consequences. 
And any Gers fans who have extreme views either way should be willing to listen to the other side of the coin too. 
This issue is slowly being turned around in favour of the instigators to our detriment, and will divide us. We don't need to please them needlessly arguing amongst ourselves.
This is solely about protecting our club and fans.
A one sentence general slagging off of any post or poster on here is just not acceptable, I'm sure we're better than that.
Let's focus on the real root causes, not the various personal knee jerks. And stick to facts, not conjecture about poster's motives.
