So the independent fans group is now in the hands of a club employee, a club board puppet, a former requisitioner and William Cowie( whom I know nothing of)
I've said it before, and I'll say it again,  club1872 is a busted flush, it has been from the start, and is nothing more than an extension of the board to give the fans the illusion they have some sort of say, and probably also to be a source of funding to the club.
 
Fucking shambles,  thanks to D'art and the two ladies for trying.  Seems like you guys have done the correct thing. 

Said it to the three of you privately and will say it publicly - the 3 of you have shown absolute integrity and should be proud of yourselves.

They appear to be simply a more polished and sophisticated version of SOS.  Like many others I am sorry to hear D'Art has resigned- but at the same time not at all surprised. But D'Art is to be thanked for his endeavours.

As you will be aware following the announcement from Club 1872, all 3 of us have resigned as directors. We considered it an honour and a privilege to be voted to serve on the board of Club 1872 by our fellow Rangers fans, and those of you who know each one of us personally will understand how painful it was for us to leave an organisation we firmly believed in and worked tirelessly to establish since our election.

We feel it is incumbent upon us to outline to members the reasons why we felt our positions had become untenable. As anyone who has served on a board or committee will know there will always be differences of opinion and varied interpretations on matters and the Club 1872 board was no different in that respect.

However, throughout our tenure we found the conduct of one director particularly challenging, causing all of us to make considerable personal compromises at times. However last week a situation arose, which we felt compromised the organisation rather than ourselves, and that was one compromise we were not prepared to make under any circumstances.

As many of you will be aware Rangers have recently advertised two job vacancies in respect of a Social Media Officer and a Supporters Liaison Officer. At Club 1872 we were informed recently that the latter of these two roles would be our main point of contact at the club in the future.

Word subsequently reached some of the Club 1872 board members that one of our directors had applied for the position of Supporters Liaison Officer. However, as no notification had been received from the director in question this matter remained as nothing more than a rumour.

Matters came to a head when the director in question intimated he, in addition to two Club 1872 directors who had already confirmed their attendance, would attend a meeting at Ibrox facilitated by Rangers Security personnel. This meeting was in respect of the forthcoming Old Firm fixture at which both Police Scotland and Club 1872 were invited participants.

As persons present at this meeting from Rangers were to be involved in the interview and recruitment process for the vacant Supporters Liaison role concerns were raised within the Club 1872 board. As nothing had yet been received in writing to the Club 1872 board this necessitated a phone call by one director to the director in question at which time it was established he had in fact applied for the role of Supporters Liaison Officer.

On such confirmation, the director in question was advised that it would not be appropriate for him to attend this meeting. In essence, we had a Club 1872 director who had applied for a job at Rangers, attending a meeting where persons from the club who were not only involved in the interview and recruitment process, but would also have direct line management responsibility for the post in question, were present.

Despite such advice and the concerns of fellow board members, the director in question attended the meeting.

We tendered our resignations shortly thereafter.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere apologies to all members, and in particular, those who voted for us. However, all 3 of us believe that by resigning in such circumstances we were reflecting the standards, values and principles which saw us elected.

Without in any way meaning to be disrespectful to any Rangers fan, you'd need to be a mug to give this lot your hard earned cash. Would love to know the thoughts of the original RF founders now, another great idea hijacked. 

Fair play to D'art - I knew this would happen (resignation) I had an idea he'd be fighting a losing battle the day he joined.
i also said if D'art gets a position then resigns then your average fan should start to ask serious questions ....

I'm not a troll either. I like to ask questions and join in with the debate. Why?

I am just wishing Murty and his Players all the best for today. They just need to give their all- both intelligence and physical- and they will win. 
They are not all bad players, and some with the right direction and coaching can raise their games. This is the opportunity for them to show us what it means to them to play for Rangers"

Sure it's not style. I think it's contagious. I have never been quite the same since the draw with Stranraer a few years ago. On a serious note- we really need to get someone in to salvage the rest of this season- but in a manner which allows for a proper structure for the future. I don't trust DK an inch- but at the same time I do not envy them the situation they are now in. The only positive at the moment is that the media spotlight is off Murty and hopefully he can achieve a few more results such as the St Johnstone result- which was in fairness to him a cracking result- especially with the Hearts and Aberdeen results going against them. 

Dearest Sweetheart- it is indeed dog eat dog- the problem we have is we need to find the right dog. Preferably a hungry aggressive one that will be prepared to bite when the rest of the pack let the side down

I like Sweetheart. We can have differing opinions but we all support the One Club.
 

We need a statement to clear up that there isn't a need to make a statement all the time, so we know not to expect a statement.

Makes me think how many of the other candidates have really been approach or are we to get more of these statements. I just wish they'd get someone in so we can try and salvage something from this season.

Yeah I agree.
Added to the fact that this is (IMO anyway) our most important managerial appointment ever and it looks to be another ill-thought out gamble.
If this guy is appointed I wouldn't expect anything less than the Rangers fans to at least give him a chance (me included) but it shouldn't stop anyone being worried and voicing their concerns either.
Rightly or wrongly he will need to hit the ground running. We can't be another work in progress or progression with a guy like this - we just can't be.
If this gamble doesn't pay off we will lose our edge forever or at least until something out a fairytale book happens and some Chinky mega-power takes over and invests 100 million or something. Say goodbye to success - that sounds dramatic but it's a 100% certainty in my eyes.
If these idiots in charge take a gamble with this guy and it doesn't work then I expect to see those scenes at Ibrox at the peak of trying to get the last lot of rats out the door. This is exactly the type of appointment they'd thrust onto us.
