Really worries me this appointment. Absolutely zero pedigree and a statement from the board as to how skint they are.
The sooner we as a support see this board for what they are.. no mark chancers..the better.

Just a wee shout out for Rob Kiernan today, had a great game.

1-0 up against a decent little team, and we have played well and controlled the game, and there's still consistent complaints on here. (By the way Kiernan has done well, I would have dropped him,tracked back to cover and get in vital tackles a few times.)
What we need now is to start the second half at full pace and not let them in to the game.

Eck need brought in ASAP, he is experienced and will play this team to their strengths. It needs to happen until to the end of season lads.  He will tighten us up for the reminder of the season.   I know people dont want him but imo its for the best until the end of season, he is seasoned and knows the score. it needs to happen.

There is little doubt in my mind King and the Board are hanging Murty out to dry, to be a fire break between the team and the Board for the unfolding catastrophe of a season.   Anything to try to keep the heat from King, Robertson, Dickson and the other Directors.
Murty never was and never will be a suitable caretaker for the first team.  That's not his fault.  Its the fault of those who shoehorned him into this position.  
With less and less shadow of doubt King, Robertson, Dickson and the Board have already sacrificed this season and are just letting it play out.   In doing so the first team squad is being humiliated week after week after week with weak, inexperienced, ineffective management (and that stretches back into Warburton's time).   The team is, imo, a disgrace to the name of Rangers.  But King, Robertson, Dickson and the Board are, imo, becoming an even bigger disgrace for allowing Rangers to drift into a team that is far less than even mediocre.   
The team has no effective leader, no effective manager, no effective coach, no fight, no pride in the jersey, full of hot air frank discussion but so far short of being a recognisable Rangers team as to be invisible.  And King and the Board are seemingly content to let this happen.
To a man they are an abject shambles.

Agreed mate. He's a good keeper most of the time and I'm definitely in the minority here but in my opinion he's over-rated to fuck and personally I wish Gilks got a chance. Puts himself under needless pressure but has to be said that defence does him no favours.

Wanting him banned? He is completely correct. We are miles behind them but MW needs time. We were never going to win the league this year

You may well be right about Ally's contribution at the 5 Way Agreement meeting - but in truth with the lack of evidence available its all supposition.
As for his management record and hs own thoughts on it - agan you could be right - but you will find most of my angst revolves around his conduct rather than his failings as a manger.

So often as fans we idolise our heroes, we afford them legendry status, sometimes on occasions it is unmeritted.
Ally McCoist's  legendary status is without a shadow of doubt, on merit. His exploits on the playing field and his goal scoring achievements for our club will probaby never be beaten nor equalled.
But its quite simply wrong to base our opinion of Ally solely on his playing career - he had a stint as manager and to exclude both this and his conduct during that term of office would be like judging a football game solely on the first half. 
It is not Ally's fault that he was not a good manager - but those who continue to present excuses referring to the conditions he worked in forget that the boards he worked under he publicly supported and furthermore that those same boards gave him player budgets which were second only to Celtic. And thats notwithstanding the fact that Ally had facilities such as Auchenhowie which should be putting our club at a distinct advantage. Hearts of course closed that gap by Robbie Neilson insisting on training 3 times a day and warning those who allowed themselves to become less than fully fit that they would be jettisoned.
Under Green & others the gravy train culture which has been at Ibrox for far too long was allowed to flourish - it is of no surprise that we ended up in the state we did relying on loans and the selling of our brightest starlets just to keep the lights on. Stockbridge lied to us at the AGM when he told us wages etc were within our budget we now know they were not. We were hemorrhaging money at an unsustainable rate.
What it needed at this time was a Rangers man with the club's interest a heart to step forward and put an end to this by leading by example. Wallace's attempt to curb the excesses was doomed to failure when only the players were asked to take a cut - and Ally of course publicly suported his players in this fiasco. What should have happened is that everyone at the club should have taken a cut comensurate with the club's current position which had a direct effect on incoming revenue. None did of course. Shame on them - every single on of them.
Ally only offered to take a cut in wages after his income was released in a most unedifyng manner in more board shehanigans.
This may come hard to some - but the accusations of greed, avarice and opportunism can be appllied to Ally McCoist as much as any of the others who availed themselves of cheap shares - though not the word "spiv" for some reason. This was perhaps the most unsavoury aspect in all of this. Fans were buying season tickets (often more than required) and shares (stretching their financial resources to the limit & perhaps beyond) at a far greater price just to ensure the club survived whilst vultures inside the club were making a quick buck for themselves courtesy of shares at a knock down price. Shame on every single one othem - Ally McCoist incuded.
Ally McCoist had a wonderful first half but he should have been substituted long before the end of the 2nd.
People have asked me in this thread & others of a similar nature if I would have taken a wage cut or not taken the legal entitlement of my contract.
The answer is simple - if I was doing a job for the club I loved I would not accept a wage which was not comensurate with my role & the club's position. Furthermore if I was not doing the job to required standard I would be far too ashamed to continue to draw a wage after I had resigned from a job I had failed to meet the expectations and requirements I was asked to fulfil. I think many of us would echo such a sentiment.
Rangers and their continuation are far more important to me than my personal bank balance.

I hate the way the argument revolves around his record as a manager combined with the circumstances.
He wasn't working for nothing and he did read his contract .. Thoroughly!
He lied and took from us when we were on our knees.
Unfirtunately I think he will be wheeled out and most will lap it up.
 

Any little respect I had for him in the end went after he decided to bleed us out another £400k after leaving, all while the club were on it's knees. 
Not bad for someone who doesn't read his contracts...
