Maybe thinks a plastic pitch would be bad for McGregors old bones. -
They play Man Utd away in 2.5 days, they see the league as more important but in all probability they simply thought a complete shite Southampton team had little chance. Of course they should still have had enough to win, their forward line alone is probably 150 - 200 millions worth.
-
You’re completely missing my point. It’s nothing to do with whether he had a contract and everything to do with the point a true top player would never have been happy to sit there and not play for so long. Yes Madrid treated him like shit, yes he was good enough to play. 90%+ of players in that position would have done everything to find somewhere they could actually play and be appreciated. He didn’t. He hardly needed more money on top of the tens of millions he already had. Therefore you can’t escape the fact he was more interested in raking in more easy money than he was in actually playing the game.
-
Why should he have? For himself , not for Real. The very fact he was treated like shit was why he should have found another club where he was wanted. Most players want to actually play rather than sit on a bench. You can’t tell me he wasn’t just interested in the money.

The league cup has only been in existence since the 1940s hardly surprising we have won fewer of them. We have won more league cups than anyone else so hardly a bogey competition
-
Great player but a perfect example of greed taking precedent over career. Happy to sit in the stands week after week rather than go and actually play football elsewhere. He couldn’t possibly have needed the money at that stage in his life

Michael Beale - Manager of the Month.

Can’t see how a game in January would affect Decembers manager of the month though -
Doesn’t look like it. I’ve just had yet another email offering me a ticket despite having virtually no mygers points.

That’s the big problem with the develop and sell model. When they are at peak value they are also usually at peak usefulness to the team so it’s hard to sell. Its a fine balancing act which we probably got wrong on this occasion

To be fair we could have survived that rank defending if we had been more clinical up front. Should have scored 4 or 5 today -

Tav should have just cleared his lines instead of trying a stupid lay off 🤦 -
Not his biggest fan by any means but he should have been able to play at a higher level but for greed. Surely he could afford to go back to Portugal to play for his first club like he supposedly wanted to do at some point. I get it that people need to earn a living but he is already worth hundreds of millions and doesn’t need the blood money

But it wasn’t. Taking 3 points while underperforming is what has won the scum a few titles. Sometimes you just need to take the win -
I’m not ruling it out, Messi is one of the greats for sure but I’m just a Maradona fan. I think he virtually won WC86 by himself. Messi was great this year but others played a big part ,like the goalkeeper who was just about as vital to the win as Messi. Maradona also took a Napoli team who had won almost nothing in their history to 2 titles. Messi was the top man at Barcelona but they were already a huge side.
-
Bollocks. Messi has been at the top for longer but I haven’t seen him do anything Maradona couldn’t do. Can’t rule out Pele either and they done it when gifted players didn’t have the protection from refs they get today.

Smaller than us yet produce players we can only dream of these days. It just proves it’s not about population size but all about skilful players not developing in the thuggish hoof ball that passes for a game in Scotland.
-
Fuck off. If you think those cunts will have only one shot at goal in a whole match against us you’re fucking delirious.

Wouldnt make any difference anyway. The only way he’d be that far off his line at a corner was if somebody picked him up and threw him.
