Captain of a big u21 nation, I'm going all out and over-reacting and saying he'll be better than Arteta!!!!
-
I'm a sucker on a lot of things, but I believed Barton when he said that. The best players in our modern history came here initially for the money in my opinion - Gazza, Laudrup, De Boer, Cuellar etc and ending up loving the club. I get a different vibe from the new signings, don't know why.

What's your favourite Rangers shirt?
Iguana replied to BlueBearz1990's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Diamond effect blue home top from late 80s is my favourite, it was the strip when we were genuinely the biggest club in Britain so holds a special place for me! -
Barton has said he'd be elsewhere if it was about money.

We've still to add more quality to this squad
Iguana replied to Gaz52's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Every game in the first half of the season is going to be electric this season, the fans want to smash everyone 5-0 after the last 4 years. Last time we were in the top flight I couldn't give much of a shit about a home game against Hamilton Dundee or Killie. I'd just expect a win, now every game means something. It's genuinely the most excited I've been about a new season since Advocaat. -
When guys like Rossiter, Barton, Niko, and Dodoo arrive for talks with Rangers before signing what does the manager say to them that convinces them to sign up?? They all would have offers for more money and bigger leagues elsewhere but something is said to get deals done (aside from the emotional fan, greatest club in the world stuff we all feel). . .

Shota dancing wearing the sombrero.

Joey Barton is a class above anything we've got at the moment and if he's genuinely a more mature man these days then great. But . . . regardless of any of that, as soon as he steps on the park he'll be a marked man with the refs here. Fuck sake, Halliday got sent off for a clenched fist in the centre of the park imagine what they'd card Barton for. I've seen it happen with Diouf and Muscat. As soon as a player with a negative reputation from the English game comes north he's public enemy no 1.

True. But I wasn't even trying to be a smart arse . . . . He did ask and he didn't get
-
Do ask, you don't get

Jack Charlton once wore a Rangers tie and called us a great club in a radio interview a few years back, he must be one of us good guys. . . I've never seen him at a game though. Or Robert Duvall. Or Hatton at many celtic games, or collymore or Noel Gallagher or snoop dogg. It's almost like being someone's second team isn't worth a shit.

Thats a shitty rule that you can miss a final because of bookings. Even the Champions league have binned that. A real shame because Ball was a stand out during the semi. Which was esp impressive considering the whole team were fn awesome that day!
-
I think we're over estimating how people down south rate him. As it stands, when jobs come up he'll roughly be regarded as on the same level as Dyche or Pearson. Guys like Moyes Allardyce and Pardew will be higher up an EPL teams list. Scoff at that all you want, we know the wonders he's worked here but it's not necessarily appreciated as much down south. That suits me fine if it keeps him here longer. Lennon won the SPL title and got Bolton, Strachan got Middlesborough and Alex McLeish didn't get much better either. All of them performed half decent in the Champions league too.

Can't find the video but Prso singing on the bus after winning the league. Same video has Mo Ross showing off his sweet little singing voice to Zurab Khishanishvilli. . . .

Remember a clip of him on sky sports news showing up at murray park the day after, literally dancing and singing on the way in, arms in the air still giving it Championeees Championeees. Probably still pished like the rest of us.

Those who think tonight and last Wednesday "don't matter"...
Iguana replied to DerKlos's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
It's a bit of a fine line the team are treading. On one hand, you don't want to risk injury or even a slight muscle pull that would put you out of the final during a relatively meaningless game. On the other hand, finding your form at this level isn't like turning on a tap - it takes a few games to hit peak form individually and as a team. I'm hoping the friendly during the break will tighten the players up again. -
Warburton hopes to complete the majority of signings by June 18th
Iguana replied to MasterD's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
He says it publicly for a good reason. He wants it to happen this way and knows saying it early and publicly increases the chances of it happening - let's the board know what he expects and puts a wee bit of pressure on them to deliver and do their bit. Remember his business background, he knows how this type of workplace politics works. I like it! -
I'm still not convinced. Only celtic fans write landscape on A5 notepad paper!!!! Back on topic, I always hated anything to the tune of that France 98 song, or hey baby/ohh ahh pish from 2001. And any song that has no meaning or context at a football ground (Stoke singing Delilah for example).
-
He jumped ship when the going got tough? Come on now, the going got its toughest in 2012 and Ally was the only man at the club we knew we could trust. Not good enough as manager but what shouldn't be in doubt is the fact he tried his best to achieve his remit of getting us back in the top flight as soon as possible.
-
Disappointed to lose but to take the positive it reiterates that the cup final won't be a walkover. Anything can happen, a few players having an off-day would make it a nervy day. I trust the manager to have the players prepared but some of us fans think the cup is already in the bag.

Fuck up! Sorry, wrong thread

James Tavernier, Embracing Rangers
Iguana replied to WeirFleckNRothen's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Dave, you need to check my suggestion for a song two posts above yours. I think you'll find its fucking awesome. Still no likes though right enough -

If you were a sportsman what would you prefer - 50,000 belting out a song about how great you are while you're playing, or a few dozen guys on the Internet calling you the blue Cafu? Of course, having both is an option as well. -

"Weve got Tav, James Tavernier, I just don't think you understand, He's red white and blue He's better than Cafu We've got Tavernier" That's actually pretty good!! I'm not even a bit ashamed I've blatantly ripped off the Delle Ali / Mesut Ozil song ?
