I think you're a bit optimistic with the values or our players. If we get near anywhere near 750k for Sebo it's a fantastic piece of business. And because he hasn't played in so long I'd expect Buffel to go for far less that he's really worth.

From that list I'd like to see Novo and Burkie. But can we accommodate them both in the team? Novo was great the other night so deserves to be played. Burke looked good against Thistle and he normally plays well against Celtic, doesn't he?

Could be a crackin match I think. We played Chelsea last season which was good for the ties between fans but it's time to show the rest of England what we're made of.

We've got an enforced shake-up of our squad, with mostly McCulloch and Thomson affecting the way we go at them, which should make us a bit harder to read and gives some of the lesser involved players a chance to come in and give it their all.

I remember Richard Gough doing the same against Juventus, although I think the ball still ended up in the back of the net that time so he avoided the card! And it was terrible defending by not one but two players to let the most obviously one-footed player on the park onto his one useful foot.

Things like that is all well being said, lets get tore into the mhanky bastards. I cant stand them just as any other bear/bearette on this side. But look where it got us a couple of seasons ago in Europe when we smashed an oppositions bus window. Do you really want to drag our team down into the dirt. Boyd looked great, I really think he's showed that he can be useful to a partnership and not just as the man to knock it in the net. Pat Nevin was right up his arse though, every second comment was "Kris Boyd is having a great game..."

The pitch looks a shocker! And I liked the comment on the Thistle card display - "a fantastic spectacle for the players to come onto the pitch"

Interesting thread, I was thinking about this the other day. I like seeing players give it all to play in the jersey they love.

I can only imagine how good we could have been with Hutton linking up with Davis down the right. But we must move on...

I've been a fan of Papac all season. Defensively he's fantastic, but when going forward he often runs into trouble or plays a dodgy pass. But I have every confidence in our defence when he's there.

I'd love for him to leave out McCulloch just for once! Hands up who saw him in the second half tonight?

I've got to be honest, I've always thought Whittaker was a donkey! But his goal was fantastic! I just hope it gives him the confidence to raise his game.

Didn't read the whole article but I feel really sorry for him too.

I'm glad to hear that, I really think Boyd is overdue a real chance in our squad and wouldn't want to see him jump ship in the summer. I think Ally might be the kind of coach to appreciate Boyd more, being a striker himself.

It certainly seems that some people have been angered by the price which has just tipped them over the edge with the performance tonight. If the prices hadn't been messed with a don't think there would've been so much booing and I don't think we'd have quite so many upset fans here tonight.
