  1. I understand your point but they will also have increased publicity between the start of the tournament and November which they wouldn't currently have. The main publicity a company would get for sponsoring a cup would come from the actual games being played and the lead up to this so it shouldn't be a massive factor
  2. From his twitter... @BarrieMcKay: Disappointed not to be needed by Rangers but happy to carry on at Raith which I'm enjoying a lot.
  3. https://photos.glasgow2014.com/photos/day-3-rugby-sevens_a26108.aspx good photo from yesterday, can't post it directly on my phone
  4. Better than what we have so I'm happy with this. Don't think our squad needs anymore additions now
  5. Saw from the megastore twitter that the home top is out early august and the away one will be out early September, September seems awful late to release a top!
  6. Think he'd be a decent player to get on loan for the championship depending on wages, he'd be playing in a lower standard of league which would hopefully allow him to start scoring consistently and in turn increase he's confidence. However id imagine this would be a last minute deal if Blackburn fail to sell him
  7. @DouglasMcNeil: IMO Rangers are getting a very good defender who Craig Levein was looking at for Scotland before injury. Nothing beats him 1 v 1. Pace.
  8. KENNY MILLER will become a Rangers player for the third time after negotiating his release from MLS club Vancouver Whitecaps last night. The former Scotland striker has struck a two-year deal with Gers boss Ally McCoist that will see him spearhead the Ibrox challenge to win the Championship next season. And McCoist will try to restore Miller’s strike partnership with Kris Boyd when the Kilmarnock hitman’s contract expires at the end of the season. No contact has been made out of respect to Boyd and his club as they battle to beat the drop. But at the end of the campaign McCoist, who has been told he will have the same budget as this season, will move for the 20-goal striker after out-of-contract players are cut from the Ibrox wage bill. The deal for 34-year-old Miller is all but signed and the formalities will be concluded now he is a free agent. And Record Sport can reveal Miller was so keen to return to Rangers he agreed a wage packet that is less than deals given to players such as Sebastien Faure and Arnold Peralta by former chief executive Charles Green. Announcing he was leaving Vancouver last night, Miller said: “The club wanted to go in one direction, I wanted to go in another direction.” Meanwhile, McCoist has revealed Rangers players and staff won’t receive a penny for winning League One – even though chief executive Graham Wallace stands to rake in a £315,000 bonus. The Ibrox gaffer admits it’s “unusual” for a title-winning side not to be rewarded but insists neither he nor his stars want any extra cash. However, CEO Wallace will collect a 100 per cent bonus on top of his £315,000 salary if “business targets” have been met. The Englishman will also pick up £25,000 courtesy of Gers being crowned champions. McCoist said: “The players won’t receive any sort of bonus at all for winning the league. It was the same last year and that includes the management staff. “In football that’s quite unusual but our lads haven’t mumped and moaned about it. “It’s frustrating that we’re doing our jobs but there still seems to be a lot of uncertainty surrounding the club.” http://www.<No links to this website>/sport/football/football-news/kenny-miller-quits-canada-third-3497106

  10. McCoist would have had no hand in negotiating the wages
  11. Anyone else had a look at the facebook comments on the clubs official post about the review? A very worrying amount of people wanting an admin 2 in order to force the board out
  12. "The total player wage cost is well in excess of the level it should be primarily due to generous and poorly structured contracts that were awarded to some players when they joined the Club." Glad to see this in the report, now this culture of giving overinflated wages to average, unneeded players should stop
  13. Heads up lads, just had a look at the trains for tomorrow and looks like Glasgow to Edinburgh is going to take 2 hours...
  14. See that the obsessed are buying up tickets as expected, sad sad people. Clearly all about the rangers as usual. Joke that that will reduce our allocation, hard to stop though.
  15. Every cup final and semi final ticket allocation should be relative to the teams average attendance over the season. Fans who go every week shouldn't miss out due to glory hunters on the other team.
  16. Met a few of the boys out last night and he was saying he doubts he'll be fit for Monday
  17. I managed to get 5 who'd never been along to the Dunfermline cup, luckily I choose a decent game and I think they are all keen to go back
  18. I'll be there and I'll be aiming to bring along as many of my mates as possible
  19. Still feel it's quite early to tell how good he'll be for us, he's still only 22 so there's time for him to develop as a rangers player. Would probably play him and one of the U20 strikers up top for the rest of the season and see how they do
  20. Noticed on twitter earlier that Clark is back training. Bit of good news and hopefully add something different up top when he's back
