  1. NO ... that concept does not apply to The Rangers ....... in the Scottish branch.
  2. Possibly the best thing to happen was to be beaten early in the season for the team to know what it feels like, and importantly what is needed to improve the situation. They will be disappointed like us all, after last night's game, and will come out on Sunday and get the result required and restore the positive vibe.
  3. We will never learn, and they will never care how much they try to ridicule us.
  4. As said above, we were played at our own game that we used to play when Walter was in charge ....... there will be more teams using these tactics, we have to get round it. As said above, SJ played above their average against us last night, this will continue with most clubs ....... every game against us is still a cup final for them all. As said above, we were caught out and were punished ruthlessly due to the above reasons ......... this is not the end of the world, we will improve even more due to this game. Otherwise we played well and fought back, trying to the last minute to rectify the damage ......... unfortunately it was not our night. The support was magnificent last night and tried to will the team on ....... except for a few dissenters who have a lot to learn. This team has only just begun and still has to improve .......... this takes time and they are not far off. The management team are top class and will deliver the goods .......... the positives are glaringly obvious. The team will bounce back from this experience in a professional manner on Sunday ....... and this game will be forgotten. We are still on a positive track for promotion .......... our main objective ........ last night's game didn't alter that, it was a disappointment but no big train crash.
  5. We Will Win ........... comfortably ........ 2 - 0 ........ the end.
  6. It may not make a noise, but it will, in this specific case, have an impact ....... culminating in the desired effect, quietly but efficiently ....... Job done.
  7. One good thing might arise from this ......... RG will be able to appraise DK about important Club matters at the golf when he visits Augusta for the masters, as I would assume this would fall under his ambassadorial remit, allowing him to bring The Rangers to the notice of the worldwide golfing fraternity, thereby exposing us further to a very lucrative market ...... win win situation, right?
  8. Exactly .... and they really did support you ...... unlike the beer tins of today that wouldn't support you, even if they were filled with piss.
  9. I was thinking the same, and just put it down to the stage make-up. Seriously though, I think it has been since he was made captain, his recent form, being included in the team discussions, the positive changes around the Club, the training regime, and quite possibly a new diet, these things can all have the effect of changing a person's appearance for the better in the way you have noticed, making it difficult to conceal the results. Or more simply ........It's the Warburton Effect.
  10. They would have a difficult time fitting on slip on shoes, and are no match for someone who already has the measure of them, and is now having to teach them how the football world operates. The Rangers in particular, are becoming very difficult for them to criticise, so they are finding it very hard to handle after three plus years of negativity, and cannot seem to understand the positive vibes emanating from our Club this season, courtesy of MW. They are as thick as shit, and in the name of Sporting Integrity ........ Fuck them all.
  11. Of course I forgot ........ 100% ...... Honest .......
  12. So NARSA need someone to speak for them ? ...... OK then, welcome Richard, to the position of USA / Canada representative, at least you are on the same continent. It was a given that RG would be rewarded for backing DK, but he better get to grips with how the fans in the UK, especially Scotland, feel about things here, and does his homework before he sounds off and puts his foot in it like he did before on a few occasions. Just how effective he is in promoting our image and raising our profile in a variety of ways worldwide, will be very interesting, or is he just being appointed as a Global fans rep? Another strange appointment.
  13. This has been one of the best threads I've had the pleasure of reading in a wee while, thank you TWG for a great OP. Our history speaks for itself, but the personal memories that we accumulate over the years, as have been shared in this thread, are some of the best, that can only be captured by being there, and witnessing some of the reasons we become "The People". Some are born, some are invited, most are educated by family and friends, but once the journey starts it is a never ending tale of how we continue to cement our pride following the best team in the world ........ generation after generation. "For there's not a team like the Glasgow Rangers .... no not one and there never shall be one", must be one of the truest lines ever written, and "The People" are the main reason this line is so true.
  14. Glad it was well attended, once again, condolences to family and friends.
  15. See when you put their name on the opening caption TC ...... Gogzy automatically freezes your "Like account" until you hand over the readies.
  16. You are dead right about that mate, I never really paid much attention when they went into administration, so can't comment with confidence, but I do remember that there was a local drive for funds, but never put any in personally, but I know where you are coming from and a good few favours were done by us over the many years the teams have been in contact. I do know that they are only 2 years younger being formed in 1874, so there is a long history there. Fans are different from boardrooms, and it's always business as usual for them while we soak up the pain, and our own admin event was as painful as it gets.
  17. What does RM think? ........... "Sorry but Rm can't come to the thread right now ....... If you would please leave your previous banned user name and put £50 into Gogzy's private account, he will be along shortly to ban you ........ after the lads have finished playing with you ...... thank you ....... End of message."
  18. I do remember Ally and Durrant being at Killie, as for Rae, he was no different from all the other chairmen (except for the Killie chairman) at the time, collapsing (seriously?) under fan pressure (another joke) and sticking it into us, changed days to the times I knew, especially as you say, we looked out for them and put a right few quid there way in transfer fees and such like.
  19. That's very true Bud, seems it's no longer the case, as they are all heading down to Kilmarnock now.
  20. If our squad can reach and maintain just half the level of consistency on the field, that our manager has attained towards the press since his arrival, we will be well on our way back to the top position in Scottish football.
  21. I can remember when we signed Eric Sorensen then Kai Johansen who were from Greenock Morton, the latter especially became a firm favourite, and is a legend today. Later on Sorensen also ran a pub In Greenock, and it was frequented by many Bears at the time from all over the Inverclyde region, plus all the Bears from Glasgow who worked in the yards. Morton were also known as the "Wee Rangers" for a while, because of the amount of players interchanged between the clubs over many years, and they always had a very high regard for The Rangers and their support. This area of Cappielow is historically known as the wee Dublin end simply because it was where the immigrants were housed before, and is an area where the away fans are placed today. Same as the Broomloan at Ibrox was always called the Celtic end as they were put there at old firm games. As for what people think of places where other Rangers supporters live, and to run these areas down and call them shitholes, is simply ridiculous. I can only assume that they all live in areas that are completely taig free, and live in a utopia where the housing is so exclusive that it allows them the right to be superior to all other Rangers supporters. What a wonderful world that must be. Yet they allow us unworthy ones to be in the same stadium as them, aren't they just wonderful to also grant us the privilege of being able to stand shoulder to shoulder with these immortal beings ........... Fuck Off.
