  1. I think you will find that you may well be out of sinc as to the context that MW uses the word rotate, he actually means "to rotate", to allow all the squad to be a part of the team, and that there is a genuine part for all the squad to play so that the team is consistent in every game. Also I recall it was an injury that caused DT (in your terms), "to be dropped", and I was not aware that injury and dropped were the same thing. But every day's a school day eh?.
  2. Cheers for the update Bud, really looking forward to this.
  3. Correct, and that is the strength of MW, his ability to man manage and coach (coax) players to perform to the best of their ability. Also as you say "not dropped", just being rotated within the squad. I hope he succeeds with DT as it will prove even more to us that his style of forward coaching instils confidence in players, and this would bode well for the future for all players who come into contact with his methods.
  4. I don't think TMB actually meant in the same team mate, just that he was as influential as they were in the team he played in.
  5. That would be Ally Jolson you're thinking of mate, not the ex-gardener.
  6. Definitely a talent and a half for us and put some great goals away, especially at the tottie field, more especially in "that game". I will always treasure this player for all his on and continued off field contributions to our Club. I never actually thought he was underrated though. Great guy also .... as said above.
  7. I was of the opinion that he would be a big player for us, and I was hoping for the same type of player Neil McCann turned out to be for us, but that obviously didn't happen. He obviously has produced something for MW to still have him around, so I will live in hope that the management team see a future for him, as he is a good player, when on his game, who can break down defences and has an eye for goal. Before W&W arrived I was not keen to keep him as he was disappointing, and if they can't get anything out of him by say the next transfer window, perhaps it's time he was moved on. Both your posts are good and cover his time with us, and I agree that knee-jerk reactions can backfire and thought has to be taken for a correct judgement to occur.
  8. Just the mention of Terylene gave me goose bumps, and brought back memories of stay press trousers from Lewis's on Argyle street and Arthur Black made to measure shirts from St. Enoch's square. Then up to Sauchiehall street for a pair of black football boots from Greaves' sports shop ....... all for under £20 and change left for the game a pie and a bovril. Black was big back then and you could get any colour you liked ........ as long as it was black ........
  9. Well deserved by both for their outstanding work.
  10. Very clever Mal, and also very funny ........ if it were not so true.
  11. Dear me, where do you draw the line here. You would think the PR team (who have been on the ball lately) would have picked up on this after the mess that DK made of it the first time, but it seems to be back to normal with this latest article on the subject. The article itself seems to be all over the place, and actually reads like it has taken answers from four or five different articles as it makes no real sense. I suspect whoever wrote this piece is mixing it up a bit to try and stoke the fire to cause controversy where there was none before, as it had all been settled. Now we have the start of a snowball effect occurring because of badly worded statements from within the Club, by two people who should know better, out of touch does not cover it ........ fuck me, even stupidity does not cover it.
  12. Yes john boyo we all agree, We've become the most disrespectful team in the land, and we deserve all the success that brings. So you can fuck off now ........... with respect.
  13. If that had connected with Mckay it would have put him in the back of the net also. Great goal.
  14. As per Jules brilliant clip. At 3.22 the airforce guy looks remarkably like Tom Hanks in "Forrest Gump".
  15. I think the OP is being ever so slightly homophobic, or is highlighting the fact that he is still in the closet and is surreptitiously testing the water to see if it's safe to come out, and now he is sorry it proved to be a futile attempt, and is all defensive and offensive that his stealth gay outing must be put off for another time. Shame really but life is like that at times, and unfortunately not every day can be a day a teddybear has a picnic.
  16. The tribute to TC was a brilliant gesture mate, and glad you enjoyed yourself up here.
  17. Both DA and NM are class acts as you say bud, and they will also be remembered fondly by me for their time at our Club. Always good to hear when someone recalls their time with us with a statement like the one DA has come out with, some of the best football was played when they both were with us, really great memories.
  18. Bursting with pride whenever he speaks about how he wants to improve the standards at our Club from top to toe, that were sadly missing the last few seasons. The fact that he now wants to stay longer than his current contract, is indicative of the pull that The Rangers has on a genuine professional who recognises the full potential we are capable of as a Club ...... when run correctly. I hope he achieves all his aims and goals with us as they are the same aims and goals we all wish for, and he seems to be on the right track so far.
  19. The main encouragement we can all gather from this under par performance, is the fact that we now have a squad of players at Ibrox who are more than capable of lifting their game back up to the standards we have witnessed in previous games. Great set of players now, and they all want to get us back to where we belong, this attitude coupled with the system of self assessment, instilled by the management team, is truly the route to success we have all been waiting for. Livingston came with the game plan of parking a whole fleet of buses on the park that would have made Buchanan street bus station at rush hour, look like a Sunday at 3 am.
  20. Brilliant mate, you come up with some beauties, and this is no exception ........ love it.
  21. That says it for me too Bud, as we won all our other records in the top divisions I feel that it is only right (traditional) that the same standards are applied to any new records we achieve, or they will be classed as secondary. I"m loving the football again also, but we must not let this get in the way of a genuine record that cannot be questioned. The reasoning I can understand ...... for a new manager ....... but Bill Struth did it in the top division, MW has to do it in the top division also for it to count, and go into the history books. One thing that looks very promising, is that MW certainly looks very capable of setting those top tier records, and I think he would agree, as he strives to be the best.
  22. It's like replacing your family at times I know. When you have as many memories as you undoubtably have, it is sacrilege that anyone would want them replaced. Like most of us on here mate we can all do the same, a wee kind reminder is all that's required, you're cool.
