Does anyone else think Murty would even consider working either with or under Walter if he did return? For me that would be the best scenario possible,, keep Murty and let him learn from the best all the while Walter helps ensure we get the best out of what we have?

Murty has the potential to be a good manager,, he just needs to learn his trade. Unfortunately we simply dont have the time to just sit around and wait on that,, not if we want to stop 10- iar . Bringing in a new manager tho has major risks as well,, a new guy could come in and change things and if it didn't work out set us right back again,,, again we just dont have that kind of time for risks like that. We need to make the right decision this time for the club going forward. Caixinha was the last gamble we should be making at this stage, as I honestly dont feel we are that far off from what would be required for 55. As much as the man has done more than enough to deserve to be left alone, I really feel honestly asking Walter to come back, in some sort of role (perhaps not even Manager but a staff role of some sort) really needs to be considered. Can anyone on here think of anyone better who could come in and work with that current squad,, who could act as some kind of mentor for Murty,, and above all who would get results ??? He is a Rangers Man through and through and as such like the rest of us I am sure will not want to see them get 10 in a row either. He was recently linked with the Scotland Job ,,so perhaps he has hinted at being prepared to go back into some form of management. If the man is prepared to and is interested,, then get him in for next season ASAP. Keep Murty,, bring in Walter,, and next season we win the league. Anything or anyone else is a gamble IMO

I worked with a ref, a wee while ago that knows him,, and I know for a fact you right,, he is Catholic, supports them and is a Religious Education Teacher at a Catholic school. Should that matter? Probably not in most games,, but should he be refereeing a game between two teams of known opposite religious backgrounds in a high profile match,,, esp after the last fiasco at Ibrox and Lennons antics? Put it this way,,, if it was celtic playing us or hearts at home and the ref was say a music teacher or something at a non catholic school,, know Rangers fan and played in a flute band at weekends ,,, would they be ok with it????

Really impressed with the performance last night, and really hope things go well for GM. I really like the signings he has brought in as well,, just the kind of players our team have been crying out for. I reckon the fact that they were mostly all brought in on loan with option is in no small part down to the Board watching this space and seeing how things go,,,, hopefully all will work out

Good statement from DJ,,, however I dont know what cetic fans he knows if he actually believes the majority of them are happy or would like to move on. In all honesty I haven't ever met one who thinks like that. I am in the forces and work with a few that you might call more moderate celtic fans as they happy to serve in HM forces ,,and work for that matter lol,. De Boar or Van Bronckhorst would have been my choice in the Summer if we knew we were going to give someone around 8-10 mil to spend. Too late now with the budget spent ,, your best bet would be likely McLeish,,,and he may well say no after being snubbed before

Would still like to see us bring in another striker tho. If Morelos picks up an injury I wouldn't like to have to depend on just Kenny and Herrrera for all the goals,, granted we have goals in our midfield. Has Hardie been sent out on loan to anyone yet? Perhaps they plan to bring him on this season .

So will we just say ,, maybe playing Morelos and Miller might work then for now? Was surprised when I saw the amount of negative posts for Miller in favour of Herrera tbh. After tonight Miller 2 assists and 1 goal,,, Morelos 1 asst and 2 goals ,,, surely for Saturday we just have to go with these two ???????

IMO Kenny should feature as he will and can get goals,, you can rely on him for that. Wither you start with him or bring him on later for his energy when the game slows I think the point is the same,, Herrera and Kenny should be the ones rotating at the moment ,,,and give Morelos a run at least.

Not sure why the manager waited until 83 mins to give Morelos a run ,, esp as for the most part Herrera was pretty much not in the game. In all honesty I noticed more of Morelos in 7 mins than I did of Herrera in 83. Perhaps the boss is thinking Morelos lack of experience was the deciding factor in team selection. I know they both are still settling in and ideally having a big target man linking in with the wee man nippy man would be ideal,, so perhaps he intended to bring on Morelos for kenny when he started to tire,,, but for me thats a hard call as we all know Kenny can come good anytime and Herrera as yet we dont. So should we try Morelos and Kenny together next week in the same formation? Morelos for me, looks at least the hungrier and has shown he can score goals as opposed to Herrera only getting 4 last season ,,,,

Watched it in full HD last week on a KODI paid sub and the game never buffered or stopped once,, and yet on their page I heard that the RTV stream had gone down.

Still a couple left in the Clubdeck,, mostly right up the back. I went for a restricted view in the Main stand for £25,,, imo the restriction will likely still be less than the restriction of sitting on the back row in the CD watching sensible soccer. Looking forward to it.

Cancel that clowns loan and use whatever we are giving him on wages towards whatever extra we might need for the transfer fee for Walker

He is utter guff. But an AM as a position we genuinely need someone decent in. Our team has no creative spark at all, and hasn't for awhile. I dont know if Dorrans will play that role or even this Pena guy but Niko hasn't got the legs / fitness for it and could drop out again during the season like last yr. Who else is there then, Holt and Forrester

The thing with playing a 433 is how you use the three in the mid. You either go with 2x CM's and one AM playing behind the striker getting forward in support,, or you play x2 CM's with one DM in behind holding. We seem to be playing x2 DM's in the CM role and our guy in the AM role doesn't have the legs or the fitness to play there ,, for 90mins anyway. The fact we tried two DM's in the mid against a team like that last night was even more worrying. Why as well have we bought x2 strikers a big target man (Herrera) and a wee man poacher type (Morrelos) and not try playing them together ? Esp against a team like that where you are expecting to get goals. Should have just went 442 and used two midfielders , one attacking and one defensive minded ,, either straight across the mid or in a diamond formation. The fact he didn't have the balls to try that against a team of that calibre (at least in the home leg) proves he hasn't got the bottle to me a Rangers Manager imo.

KODI and Sportsmania is the way to go. Perfect never buffered once and have the back up of having all the Rangers TV games on there as well.
