This isn't a complicated issue despite your apparent determination to muddy the waters. He's publicly undermined his manager. If he isn't dealt with the manager will lose his authority. It doesn't matter what he said or even of he is right because regardless he should never in a million years be calling up a talk show whilst suspended to question his suspension.

I think Warburton thought he was adding steel and experience. A few forceful personalities to carry our young team confidently into difficult venues.
Sadly we have slowed our play with players whose legs can't cover the ground our system demands, inhibited our young players who are cowing to Barton (until now) and introduced a loose cannon where calm leadership (ala Davie Weir) was required.

Common sense should tell a 34 year old that you don't call up a national radio station to say your situation has been handled strangely, you've nothing to apologise for to the manager when clearly the manager disagrees.  He's undermined his boss. In any walk of life that doesn't end well.

A pro would take his medicine, shut his trap and come back determined to make amends or at very least to prove everyone wrong.

Perhaps but Barton was signed and sealed fairly early on. We must have thought he was too good a player to turn down and he probably helped us convince others to come. A marker in our grander dealings.  Hindsight and all that...

He hasn't apologised to Warbs. He doesn't think he has anything to apologise for. He told Warbs in no uncertain terms where our problems lay within his office and was told to go home and get his head straight.

Almost doesn't matter what he said. What right thinking Rangers player calls a radio show and speaks about internal matters. Guys got s screw loose and is an ego that can't be controlled.

If you've got a magic hat Id suggest sending along to the manager. He seems to have lost his.

And here endeth the Rangers career of Joey Barton. Calling a radio show having not spoken to his manager.

Blatantly working his ticket. Goodbye Joey your wish is granted. Now fuck off.

He's making a fool of Warburton by going onto national radio. He has to go.

Daily record claiming that having had a disagreement with several players Barton was then shouting and gokng face to face with the manager. If that's true he will have to eat a very large slice of humble pie on, take his punishment and work much harder because he's not exactly ripping it up and looks slow.
Gazza could get away with murder because he was a genius. Joey Barton is not.
Still a possibility that Warburton tells him it's not working out and the two agree a parting of the ways.

We need to get Kranjcar into the team. Read so many people saying the game will be too fast and will pass him by. Pish.

In a game like this when everyone else is charging around like headless chickens we have the best ball player in the country bar none. A man with 81 caps for Croatia. He's had a chance to get fit and now he will show what he's about. Someone will get sent off trying to get close to him.
Come the the hour  cometh the top man. Go on Niko win us this game.

For me it's between these two line ups. We need to get stuck in no matter who starts. Any coughs?

Ball was played there de to Halliday being suspended. We then tried to accommodate both but in my opinion we are a less creative/fluent unit when both start.
Now that Holt is fully fit in see no need to push Halliday forward. Let's get back to the midfield combo that creates because we have been a little bit toothless lately albeit Waggys form hasn't helped.
Ball as a midfielder is fine away to Hibs as a destroyer but not required against QOS who haven't has a good season.
    That's my tuppence worth anyway

So no player in their late 20's will play for Rangers?
We just become the good last pay day for players about to retire.

Of that lot only Miller and at a push Wallace have any leadership qualities. We don't have an on field organiser at all. If we have a team of 24 and unders with say 3 older guys like Eustace, Wallace etc then that could be a good mix.
I doubt Eustace will play every game but by all accounts he's a model pro and standards at Ibrox have dropped off a cliff. Maybe he's what the young guys need. A classy pro to aspire to.

Charlie Adam? He'd have speared a 60 yard pass down garden with the apple and ate the snake instead.
