i think you are correct. Minus the fun bit. 

Once you add the ticket to your basket you can suss out roughly where you are from the row/seat allocation. You can also add a number of tickets to the basket, try to pick the best one(s) and then delete the rest. I'd still prefer to be able to pick the exact seat though, as I always try and get one close to an aisle if I can.

Aye, but they still have the daft rule where you can't buy a single ticket in the Broomloan Rear because you need to buy a juvenile ticket as well, even though there aren't 2 seats together. They expecting parents to stick their weans 10 rows away from them on their own?
