Just get some wee guy who plays FM to identify the wonderkids.
Refuse to believe we sent folk to see Lammers, Dessers and Cifu and they came back with glowing references.
Lammers and Dessers I don’t understand but Cifuentes was clearly signed off the back of looking good in the MLS.
The only problem with that is 37yr old Billy Sharp has gone to the MLS and looks like a world beater as well.

Finishing 2nd in the Europa group wouldn’t bother me at all. Obviously I want us to top the group but I don’t see it having any impact on his future if we don’t as long as we go through.
He’ll be judged on domestic form. Fall any further behind that mob before we play them again and he’s gone. Fail to win the League Cup which we’ve basically got a free hit at and he’s gone.

He played 123 games for Leeds in 3 years.
Featured in 122 games across all competitions playing 8262 minutes which works out at about 92 full games of football in 3 seasons.
A Championship season alone is 46 games.
Might not have been injury prone at Leeds but doesn’t seem like they wanted to rely on him too much either. EPL level according to some though.

If we know he’s injury prone then we should be managing his minutes and appearances appropriately.
We haven’t really done that in recent weeks because we have no other options who are proven quality.
People predicted this would happen weeks ago.
Or just don’t sign him when we know he’s injury prone. That would work as well.
He record at Leeds wasn’t as bad as some would have you believe but Anderlecht only managed to get 3 months out of him because he was injured that much and we still decided to pay a decent fee for him.
Brilliant striker when fit but he’s made of biscuits and it’s been a bit of a disaster of a signing if we’re honest.

I don’t think it is cos we get paid upfront it’s not per sales these days.
You’ve managed to ruin the only positive I could find there mate. Fair play.
Convinced myself when the weans rinse me for this one at least I’ll be helping to pay towards Dessers wages.

Me neither but it’s part of the contract.
If that’s the case then fair enough. More money for the club I suppose.

I like it. I just don’t see the need for it.

Fantastic thread.
Hopefully someone bans that @BlueKnight87 slag next

The new Ross County manager, if he does well could be a future Rangers manager?

We are run like a back street brothel.
Funnily enough we’re the ones who tend to get our pants pulled down when we spend money.

Him and Beale setting up a training session must sound like an Only Fools and Horses sketch the way things are going.

Folk have been raging on here about Banfield being a clown based on little more than how he dresses on a match day. At least today he came out and spoke to us to confirm that he is one.
He does give off strong “yer da’s first holiday abroad” vibes tbf

A point I’ve been making since the clubs useful idiots were cheerleading him.
Fwiw I’ve said before both Gio and Beale were lazy appointments. They were popular names on twitter at the time and we seemed to appoint both without anyone else even getting a look in.
It’s why Muscat being the new twitter favourite gives me the fear.

I’ve not backed him. I never wanted him and still don’t. He should never have even been considered as Gios replacement. I’ve said this consistently throughout the thread. A typical lazy appointment from a Rangers board who are miles out of their depth.
Valid point mate. You can pass the phone back to The Dude now.

Off course he is mate that’s why I stopped replying to him 🤣
Tbf it’s quite entertaining at times reading him arguing with every cunt and being deliberately obtuse
I’m actually annoyed at myself for biting because it’s so obvious

I don’t know it. And neither do you
We do though. You’ll come away with some “what’s the lottery numbers for next week?” patter as a response no doubt because you’ve backed him to the point now that you can’t change your mind. It’s some hill to die on tbf.
If he’s still here come January we’ll be 10+ points behind though. Unless the tarriers start chucking points away again as well.

The game didn’t matter because we won it, but if we had lost it you can bet any amount of money that people would have used it as a stick to beat Beale with.
It mattered because we had to show we were still capable of beating them and get the monkey off our back. It lost it’s meaning as soon as he surrendered to them at the next opportunity.

He’s never winning a title and you know it. I’m convinced you’re defending him at this point just for the arguments.

There is something there with Beale. The way players and staff have talked about his football IQ means something. If Steven Gerrard calls you a tactical genius, clearly you have some level of ability to think the game.
I’m not doubting he’s a great football mind, I just don’t see any of that translating onto the pitch. We have no direction, no style, and at times it’s hard to tell what the hell we’re trying to do.
I get it’s tough to lineup most weeks against teams who just put 10 men behind the ball and try to hold on for 90 minutes, but a Rangers manager just simply has to do better than what we’re seeing.if you were to watch any domestic game from the past 5 years, players on the pitch aside, you’d have no idea who was managing based on style of play. It’s been the same old horrid dog shite every year.
This club, and all the players, managers, and fans who came before, simply deserve better.
That’s the job and he would have known it better than most having worked here before.
It’s a weak excuse as well. We face it often enough that we should have it sussed out by now.

That’s him done. Not a chance he survives this. 9 points dropped already, 6 of them at home and it’s no even October yet.
Enjoy your coaching role at some nothing Championship club because you’ll never manage again.
